ok I'm on the avantris wiki again (what's new) because I needed to see the maps (I'm always looking at the maps that's all I do) because anyone who's watched eom is probably aware that druskenwald (druskenwald original spelling my beloved) used to be part of barovia that was left behind in the shadowfell

it occurred to me that the crooked house is on top of the place where ol bonegrinder was burned down and more recently I learned the crescent court/chateau clair de lune is in a swamp/bog area which is a sure sign that it's on top of the ruins of berez (fucking WILD if that's the case coupled with the fact that adela is almost certainly arabelle)

so now. with one confirmed location and one implied location, we have the general orientation of a map of barovia. if you go off the old druskenwald map (as in the one found on avantris wiki NOT the crooked moon druskenvald map) there are mountains oriented at the farthest northern point and the farthest southern point

you know what's in the mountains? argynvostholt. the amber temple went to the prime material plane (as confirmed in beneath dark wings) BUT as far as I'm aware, argynvostholt has not been found

because it's in the mountains of sindramas in druskenwald, as in the place where the undead are trapped in the eternal cyclical war (and I'm quoting from tcm here) "WHERE THE BONES OF LONG-DEAD DRAGONS REST."

that was my ted talk. I have a feeling when eom is eventually picked up this will either a) be one of the plot points or (far likelier), b) never be addressed (I'm crazy)
