Day 9 of nutcracker season 2022! (Fighting against an enemy)
This one will be more text than art, i hope you like my little story!
After Haritas had heard of other nutcrackers from the strange man, Drosselmeyer. He felt a new source of energy, he felt determined to seek out the others. There was not a moment to lose, as he felt something important was going to happen very soon. The journey started out as he would have hoped. However, he couldn’t shake the feeling of something lurking in the woods, something or someone following his every move. Eyes burning into the back of his head. But every time he would turn, hand on his trusted cutlass, there was non to be seen.
As the journey went on, the eyes he felt upon him only became stronger for each step he took. And soon enough, he stood face to face with a beast from nightmares. It drooled and snarled, it’s eyes were a glowing red and it’s fur was sharp and pointy. It towered over him as it was more than ready to devour the lonesome Nutcracker soldier. But Haritas did not back away.Â
His right hand moved to the handle of his sword, gloved fingers wrapping around the cold bronze as he was ready to strike the beast down or die trying.Â
Haritas felt more at ease, knowing he was made of wood, he would be able to survive more damage if the beast got a hold of him with it’s sharp teeth or claws.Â
Pulling out his sword, the beast barked and bared it’s teeth even more, showing it had no intentions of letting him go. Though ready for a fight, Haritas had a sudden feeling of doubt, like he was not supposed to be there. In the moments of uncertainty and concern, the beast lunged forward, knocking Haritas to the ground.
The sharp claws dug into his wooden frame, he screamed out in agony. Why did it suddenly hurt? Why did he feel pain shoot through his entire body? Haritas desperately reached for his cutlass but it was just out of reach. The large beast opened it’s mouth to finish him off, and in that moment, Haritas felt more alone than ever, he was scared, he was hurt. And he was about to die.
“Hold the others off! I will slay that beast!!” A voice suddenly called out.Â
In the blink of an eye, the forest echoed of a single gunshot. A shot enough to make the beast fall to it’s side, having killed it instantly. Someone had saved Haritas. But who was it? Everything was blurry, the last thing he saw was his once white gloves stained with blood, and shadows gathering around him, they spoke to him, but he couldn’t understand a word. Then everything went dark.
