artists if you are wondering why your art looks bad whenever you try to take a picture of it, you're not going crazy. it's probably your camera.

some newer phone cameras have an inbuilt beauty filter that cannot be removed. so especially if you draw portraits your phone will recognise the person and "enhance" it by smoothing out the features and/or blurring the background.

just in case anyone is experiencing this right now and is trying to find any explanation. it's not you or your art, it's your camera.

I think someone really needs to hear it.

You make things with your hands and it's wonderful. You can look for references and tutorials, and it won't devalue your work. Your pieces aren't supposed to be perfect, without any mistakes, to have a flawless wrong side.

Process of creating is a celebration of creativity, freedom, imagination and soul.
