Strawberry Moon 🌕🍓

Baby Basil 🌿❤️‍🩹 I’ve been missing him extra lately and wanted to post him here!

Basil was surrendered to the shelter from an extremely neglectful/abusive home, when he came in he had severe ammonia burns all on his feet, legs and bottom to the point where he had no tail just a stub, but it was beginning to grow back! Once I took him home and to my vet we found he had lymphoma and megacolon. He was having a hard time getting around and grooming himself but immediately upon starting his medication he was able to take care of himself a little better.

Despite all of that he was the happiest sweetest bunny, he still managed to run around and play a little bit! He was on a few medicines and a special diet and his little prednisone banana was his favorite part of the day (right after his oat & calf mana mix he went crazy for hehe) He was the snuggliest baby and loved his reiki healing time, we did a few sessions with a friend and it seemed to bring him comfort. 🫶🏻

I only had him for about a month but in that time we became so close. I’m so grateful we got to spend his last days together and I hope he felt the safety and love he deserved ❤️‍🩹
