Still life of my pencil case.

I like how soft it feels, and the zipper detail; it took me a while to do that. Next I’ll try to work more on repetitive patterns. I get bored/tired of them easily, but I know I could do some cool designs if I’m patient.

Not sure what I drew here exactly, but I’m going to call it “Guidance.”

I like the shading at the bottom; the subject looks clouded in judgement, and it feels like they’re all alone. I would like to improve on pushing my tonal range just a bit.

Introduction

Hello! I created this blog for two main purposes: to post my drawings, and to hold me accountable.

I received a degree in art (not drawing), and have realized that I have huge imposter syndrome– to the point where I believe most (if not all) my art will never be good enough. This makes it hard to improve and experiment when I’m constantly worried about what the people I personally know think.

I decided I wanted to create a new space where next to no one knows who I am, and where I can post what I make– the good and the bad. I don’t need to worry about the fact that I “should be good” at this by now just because I have a degree.

This blog will also hold me accountable to start posting and practicing more.

I accept any and all feedback– just please be gentle. I am nowhere near where I used to be skillset-wise.

My goal is to post some of my creations 2-4 times a week. I would love and appreciate any likes, comments/feedback, and reblogs.

For my first post– enjoy a blind contour drawing of a portrait I found on Google.
