📷🖌🎨Art as an Escape: How are you finding calm?. We added a drawing table for my son today. He drew,and drew and drew.. Plus, now he has a view of the backyard. It over looks the neighbor's yard with hopes to see their dog, which happens to be our dog's Norman "Rocky" Bear's bestie. Basically, I was not accessing my studio during the day with this new norm, and now this allows me to continue with safe acrylics or drawing matetials, while he creates close to me near my studio. We also decided to display his daily illustration in the window for the neighbors to see. 📷What is working? My new photographer! 🎨What do we need to continue?. Making art. 😴What shall we stop doing? ART MAKING TIP: Usually I have an art making tip like sanding your canvas with a coarse sand paper followed using a finer sand paper to achieve a smoother surface. (Seen here with my artist assistant Norman "Rocky" Bear before I sent him away to avoid breathing in dust while I sand, and not pictured is my 10 year old son.) So, here is my tip as our son heads into his bonus week of spring break: Wash your hands correctly with a song.
