Haiii!! I only recently found your webcomic and ITS SO PEAKKK, also! If nobody asked u this already, what inspired you to make this comic? It’s so lovely btw, I hope more beautiful chapters come out soon 💗

Okay I hope you weren't expecting a one word answer because...

Originally when I set out two years ago I was going to do a slice-of-life webcomic, as narrated by Olympus' most overworked jack-of-all-trades. (Of the gods I've always been quite fond of Hermes and Athena. This has been pretty consistent over the past five years of my Greek Mythology obsession. I know. Call me basic :,))

Alas when I began to flesh out the characters I became really invested in... Ganymede (he has so much potential, fight me). And then for a brief while I did consider writing a slice-of-life webcomic as narrated by Olympus' most depressed bartender.

Anyway at some point I circled back to our favourite errand boy and began to sketch out his back story. Sadly for my blorbo Crocus he existed very firmly in the past tense and served as little more than the role of "dead wife :(" and the endgame ship was Hermes & Peitho.

About a year in, I realised that I'd pretty much written Crocus' biography into Hermes' backstory, and spent a total of one (1) page loosely describing Peitho in no depth.

Don't get me wrong I love Peitho and she is very interesting and she does still make appearances in my FftMG but it became quite clear to me that it would be better off to shift the timeline back a bit and write about Crocus.

Also my decision was supported by that fact that when I searched up on Pinterest and Google, "Hermes and Crocus," the results were 10% Hermes and Crocus fanart and 90% captioned posts saying "we have a severe shortage of Hermes and Crocus fanart."

And I was like...

Oh my goodness a problem I can actually fix :D

Designing Adonis was interesting because usually when I draw my flower boys I make their eyes the same-ish colour as their respective flowers.

Adonis however would look a bit demonic with red eyes, so I blithely ripped off one of @sapocipo's posts and gave him blue eyes (sorry :,))

"But Adonis can't have an anemone in his hair that was invented AFTER he died!!!" yeah yeah idc. [Also I must say my asks atp is 90% doodle requests for various hot men LOL]

Edit: I realised that the scanner's lighting makes the eyes look kinda green. Ah well.
