I don't suffer from the allergy to "Persephone went with Hades voluntarily" stories that a lot of people on this website suffer from, but like, if you are gonna do it, you need to have the balls to make Demeter properly horrifying to compensate. You need to have Persephone watch the humans eat their children out of desperation, and realize that she has to sell half of her eternal life or have the blood of the entire world on her hands. And you absolutely need to have Hades tempt her to pick the latter option, because what do we care about the world of the living, our kingdom will only grow because of it, and we can be happy, so happy down here, my love, if you just turn your back on them all. What is even the point otherwise?
