Oh gods I haven’t posted here in forever... well uh, here, have a barby dude I drew last night.

Oh, right! I finished the thing! The six-eyed wolf mask-headdress thing! I still need to document it better, but here are some reasonable photos showing how the eyes glow in the dark (first pic) and light up.

It is slightly spooky to see those 6 yellow-green eyes once I’ve turned the light off. I like it! It was my first run at doing light effects in a sculpture, and there are def things I want to work on, but I’m quite happy with it.

Many-eyed wolfy mask is loping right along slowly but surely! I have now let it dry, so I can do finer details and shape refinement. (Paring down instead of building up.) I may yet decide to add eyes in the eye holes; preferably removable ones. Yar, that’d be cool.

Then will be painting and attaching a faux-fur mini-cape? cowl? Idk what it’s called for the bit trailing behind when it’s only a bit longer than shoulder-length. Myeh. I are not a fashion major a har har.

H(ar)el’yeah!

I didn’t know that there had been a teaser trailer for Dragon Age 4 featuring a certain rebel elf with lupine associations when I started working on my 6-eyed wolf mask! In fact, I didn’t know until today. I am sooo out of the loop! I guess part of me picked it up from the ambient? Anyway, I am excited, though it will likely be a few years until the game is completed.

Six-eyed wolf mask is coming along!

I may have been a bit inspired by ol’ Fen’Harel. Maybe. For the eyes, at least.

Progress made during the “super blood wolf moon!” I didn’t know about the aptly-named eclipse when I started this mask/headdress on Saturday. I’d just been wanting to make a wolf-themed mask for the last few weeks. Too bad it’s in too early of a stage to wear and pretend to be a werewolf! Woof harooooo!!

I was bored at the car service shop and hate tossing things after one use, so styrofoam coffee cup ==> dragon.

Btw I hardly ever ever post here anymore... I am much more active on Instagram, where my art and photography is mashed together in a more compact format. Same username as my Tumblr.

First pass of paint on my dragon mask, trying to get it done for Ren Fest this Saturday! I’m painting it to match the leather dress-type thing behind it.

The mask (and this blog, ha, ha) was sitting dormant while I was on a 3 1/2 month road/camping/hiking trip across the western US. It was awesome and I’m having a little trouble readjusting to the city (oh sad, grey predictability), but I missed being able to work on stuff outside of my sketchbook!

I did a batch of doodles for Unicorn Day about a week ago. I like the loosest, most anatomically-questionable ones the most, haha.

Almost done with the patterning on one side of this mask. As always, it is ending up more ornate than planned. This was just going to be a practice for me for using this type of clay, but kept going. Horns are separate and will be joined later.

Soent several hours today working more on this. My contacts are foggggyyy from all the filed-off powder. Gotta get new goggles.
