“El Abuelon”

El Abuelón es un pescador de la Isla de Coche, Estado Nueva Esparta, que tenía un nieto. Un día el nieto salió para la playa y no regresó jamás. El anciano, angustiado y cansado de tanto buscarlo y preguntarle a los atarrayadores, entró a la playa y también desapareció. Se cuenta que desde este momento no hay pescador joven ni adulto que vaya solo a pescar al mediodía, porque se dice la presencia del abuelo invade el lugar y crea escalofrío, fiebre y en muchos casos la locura. Por eso todos los pescadores antes de salir se encomiendan a Dios y piden permiso para pescar en sus aguas, con la finalidad de que no se les aparezca este personaje.

The Mule is a fictional character from Isaac Asimov's Foundation series.[1] One of the greatest conquerors the galaxy has ever seen, he is a mentalic who has the ability to reach into the minds of others and "adjust" their emotions, individually or en masse, using this capability to conscript individuals to his cause. Not direct mind-control per se, it is a subtle influence of the subconscious; individuals under the Mule's influence behave otherwise normally - logic, memories, and personality intact.
