Apparently some people still need to hear this so: using an 'ai checker' is still using ai. If you are feeding someone's fic to one of these checkers, you will still not be sure their fic is ai because they are not 100% accurate, but you can be 100% sure that you are using ai. For fic. Furthermore you are doing the work of an ai scraper for them. You are, personally, feeding the machine. There is no actual excuse for using an ai checker on fanfic as a hobby. YOU are the problem.

If you think a fic is ai, mute it and move on. That's it. That's all you do.

the first time i cosplayed was sollux homestuck at san diego comic con at the wee age of barely-13. on the second day andrew hussie was hosting a free meet-and-greet/signing at one of the little pop-up areas outside of the con itself, so i went by myself (i was there with my family). i stood in line for probably 15-20 minutes. important to note this was outside on the second floor of somewhere, so most of the line was on this big set of stone stairs. when i was about 5 people away from getting in, somebody came out to announce she was leaving early. dejected, i turned away and proceeded to immediately slip and fall down an entire flight of stairs. this remains probably one of the absolute funniest things to ever happen to me

it's funny how "press F to pay respects" was such a gigantic meme that it seems to have permanently affected the way we talk online. people use it completely genuinely and unironically. had a bad day? F. died in a videogame? F. I see it constantly in Discord, Twitch and ingame chats. like it's actually being used as common shorthand. when it only gained prominence because of how hilariously stupid this screenshot is

What pisses me off the most is that y'all don't keep this doomerism to yourself, it would be one thing if you just wrote this shit in a diary, but y'all are putting that out there trying to scare young trans people into being divided. spreading the idea that trans unity is an "unobtainable fantasy" only serves to make trans people feel even more alone and desperate than before, during a time where being united will give us strength.

Trans people should be encouraged to find safety and community in one another, and not just with trans people that are "like them."
