The afternoon air was crisp. Patches of grass were covered in dew that had had fallen the past night. The chill was enough to nip at your skin, but not enough for people to stay indoors. The overcast sky wasnât enough to stop the sun from sneaking through open spaces. It didnât stop the sun from melting old piles of snow and slightly frozen-over puddles.
The blue haired girl wrinkled her nose when she caught the scene of something sweet. The same way a dog might, Ene followed the trail until she game across a picnic table filled with food for at least a party of five. Her eyes widened at the sight, wrapped sandwiches of all varieties, fruits and even a few baked goods. âWoah!! Look at all this food!â she blurted out leaning towards the table
Ene stopped just as she reached towards the table to help herself until she came to her senses. Obviously this was some sort of arrangement for an event, all this food couldnât have just been left there. Ene looked around to find the area to be empty. Who has a picnic in the middle of winter anyways?
