Narvin giving up on Romana is always going to feel out of character for me but it makes so so much more sense in Resistance than it did back in Unity. The Narvin we see in Resistance is so broken he’s ready to give up on everything, even his unwavering devotion to her.

but here’s the thing: Resistance is an incredible episode… of a version of Gallifrey that doesn’t exist. where they built the resistance onscreen, where they built Eris onscreen. Where we could’ve gotten a nuanced point about how yeah daleks and time lords aren’t the same and yet we can see how Eris broke down when Narvin left him to run everything and never deconstructed his gallifreyan way of thinking. I shouldn’t have to be daydreaming about everything the resistance did, I should’ve been able to see it

So what is this new AU?

(Hope you don’t mind me publishing this)

Okay so, I work at a library and I was at work when I saw the post. So obviously, my mind immediately went to Library!AU

Brax owns the library but no one has ever actually seen him in the library . They know he comes there because he leaves notes for them, but when he is there, is a mystery. 

Romana and Narvin are the librarians. They both want the books to be arranged in different ways; Narvin thinks that the Dewey Decimal System is the only proper way to do it, but Romana thinks it’s outdated and overcomplicated. As a result, no one buy the two of them has any clue as to how the books are arranged, as this changes quite a lot.

Leela works in the café and she loves it. She is also the one that separates Narvin and Romana when their fighting get a bit too heated and they start scaring off people. (Andred is crushing on her and buys like 8 cups of coffee in one day just to have an excuse to talk to her)

Darkel once forgot to return a book on time, but she insist that it never happens and that she certainly shouldn’t pay a fee just because ‘their system is faulty.’

Wynter likes to come by every now and then, usually after walking his dog. That is, until one day he just stops coming.

Annos and Janartis are that one couple making out in the back of the library. Leela is totally chill with this, but the others not so much. She always makes sure to leave a pile of books lying around in somewhere out of place so Narvin and Romana get into a discussion about whose fault that is.

Matthias comes there to work, but somehow never gets anything done. Probably because he is constantly distracted by Valyes complaining about, well, everything.
