Thank you so much!! Iām glad I can help inspire other artists! If youāre just looking for a few tips, I did mention a few here and explain them.
I donāt know if thereās a specific āitā youāre talking about, so Iām going to assume you mean my process. Itād be really hard to explain just using words, so I included a time-lapse of my process to just show it. Hopefully none of these things seem too obvious and Iām actually helping you learn. Apologies for the video being a tad long, any faster and I felt like it wouldnāt be useful to actually watch because it would be going too fast!
Some key points from the video about my process
1. I use the warp/distortion tool to fix things frequently.
It saves me time and saves me the pain of having to redraw something because it was too long/short or too wide/thin.
2. No line art!
Thereās a few exceptions, but most of the drawings youāll see on my blog are just the refined sketch of that drawing. I typically avoid line art because I donāt like spending too much time on one drawing, I like being quick with my art, the drawing in the video took me around ~55 min. Even if that isnāt really fast, it is much faster than if I had decided to do line art. I also like the look so thereās that.
3. I experiment with colors and shading
It is very unlikely that I get my colors right on the first try, so thereās a few instances (like Tsuyuās hair) in the video where I I try something, realize I donāt like it, and try again. Same with the shading, Iāll try out different colors and blending modes for shading. I like to see what works!
4. Final clean up process (not seen)
I may have forgotten to record this step, but this one is easy to explain. Basically, I just step away from the drawing for a minute and then come back to try to spot any mistakes Iāve made. For example, I noticed that, after finishing the recording, Tsuās hair was not fully recolored with her new hair. I fixed that after.
