Fuck me man they really dropped the ball with this one huh. They hyped up Stu's return so well in the advertising, even built it up well IN THE MOVIE, just to have him NOT EVEN FUCKING BE THERE? WHAT?

And the whole "it was just ai to fuck with Sydney" thing is so terrible honestly I don't even care.

Now, don't get me wrong. The rest of the movie was AMAZING. The build-up, the kills, the chase scenes, the stalker stuff, the phone calls, all 10/10. Good shit.

But hyping up Stu, even having "Face your past" on the POSTERS, just to have him not even be there and having it all be FAKE? Come ON man! It's ridiculous. And the KILLERS? Ugh. Two characters we saw maybe twice and who literally no one cares about. I know DAMN well Wes Craven is rolling in his grave right now.

You don't just desecrate Stu Macher's name like that and expect to keep your fans.

I wish Gale had been one of the killers, honestly. Especially when they showed the deepfake of Dewey? "I died for you, Sydney, doesn't that count for something"? Pissed off wife of the guy who died is kind of perfect, no? That's a wayyy better betrayal story than *intense googling here* Jessica's motive, especially since Gale is kind of crazy already. Stu and Gale being the killers would have been really interesting honestly.
