i've been in triple the amount of stress for probably an entire month at this point with the light at the end of the tunnel being too far for my own comfort right now so i turned the cast of SUL into ponies. 👍

ruby sketch i did because i have a HUGE amount of red pens, both from collecting ballpoints for my personal sketches but ALSO from years of having red pens on my school supplies lists, never actually using them, and them being so excellent that they never dried out, so... yeah if anyone has any red ballpoint sketch ideas i could use to work through my backlog, that would be fine by me @_@

the funnier part is that this sketch was done so i could FINALLY finish ONE of my red pens... only for me to realize ruby's outfit is usually a majority black + another red pen entirely was the better option for some of her accessories

maybe i should make more red characters just to help use them up 😭😭😭

i was thinking about if cobalt in his "prime" (aka: his tourney career at age 17-19) had to dress fancy before + wondering if an earlier fancy event was where the "whorebalt" fit actually came from,

cobalt's probably just insecure about how it looks on him again after *cough* multiple medical issues, but i'm sure rina doesn't mind lmao

this was actually kind of experimental using my outrageously thick ballpoint pens + using washable crayola markers for a splatter effect as a background :] would definitely be fun to play with crayola markers like this more 🤔 if its pigments are safe for toddlers to use, it's definitely safe for me, right @_@?

my inspirations for baby cobalt are both kris dreemurr and also espurr the pokemon o3o

i imagine he shares espurr's "holding back power that could destroy a car" levels of restraint, except he's a 3-10 year old kid who's struggles to verbalize why Everything Feels So Much™️ 🥲

I have ZERO clue why I was obsessed with this concept to the point of thumbnailing it but it was at least nice to find out that my metallic markers fit on top of black sharpie 8']

don't think it came out as *cough*sexy*cough* as I intitially intended, but at least it'll be a good excuse to revisit wtf I was trying to do in a future redraw :]
