June 25th of 1978 is the day when the first versions of the rainbow flag were flown for the San Francisco Gay Freedom Day parade. In the calendars of my own this day is marked as “rainbow flag day” and I find it very important historical date. This makes this day worth celebrating for me.

On the other hand, in the calendars of the members of my family this day marked as a day when they need to call me and wish me happy birthday despite me being completely against any kind of celebration.

I would like to say that once this date would be also marked as a day of my coming out to relatives, but I don’t need it. We are not very close and they all considering LGBTQ+ people as liars basically and I’m really tired of trying to make them think otherwise. Anyway, I just wanted to take this opportunity to make a more or less normal coming out here, online. I want to think that I figured it all out and I’m confident that it’s a valid part of my personality no matter what my family or anyone else has to say.

It was Lance. Oblivious Lance. He was everywhere. He was in Keith’s mind, and his flowers was deep in Keith’s lungs. It was painful. Not flowers, no! Loving Lance cannot be painful, but the loneliness and rejection Keith felt when flowers appeared in his mouth. That hurt badly.

It was suffocating at first and almost impossible to hide but Keith managed. No one knew. Lance didn’t know and he still doesn’t. Keith though he would die in days but he... didn’t. Hanahaki is fatal disease for everyone but Keith Kogane because he is in love with stupid lover boy. Lance’s felling for him was growing stronger and stronger and Keith felt better and better with each day. Now it can be weeks between attacks and even months sometimes because most of the time Lance’s love for him was as strong and deep as Keith’s and with time his fatal disease will pass permanently.

Keith believes in this.

And after this and only after this - to not press Lance with these flowers - Keith will confess.
