I have been absolutely horrible about updating this semester. I literally just finished a thesis-sized paper on the Winchester Bible for my Medieval class. I still have a few more papers to write this semester. Next up, Albrecht Dürer.

Scenes of the Resurrection.
Each scene features sleeping Roman soldiers and Christ emerging from his tomb, but these were made across hundreds of years. Can you guess which one was made in 1190?

Happy Birthday Bernini! The great Baroque artist Gianlorenzo Bernini was born in Naples on 7 December 1598. Like Michelangelo before him, Bernini was best known for his virtuoso sculpture but also excelled at painting and architecture. His dramatic designs and exquisite craftsmanship earned him the reputation of the greatest sculptor of his day, and he was widely sought after by cardinals, popes, and kings.

I may have a Bachelors degree in Medieval and Renaissance studies and have already read the text book for fun a few years ago but Im majorly freaking out over my first Medieval exam of graduate school. I must get an A, I must. Everyone knows I have a degree in this and am continuing my focus in both of my graduate degrees...so. much. pressure.
