This is a little sideblog of @stickia404 for all of her art projects/art works. Currently, this is under-construction, but there should be more here soon(tm).
The tags I will be using will be: post with large explications will have "additional entries". Posts for story chains will have their story name in the tags. And for stuff from other art friends/art I find cool and that fits, will have "arrivals post"
Oh yeah! I've been cooking up a new Figura Avatar!

Ok there is a lot in this Avatar, with several references to: Stickia-lore that I haven't shared (Reality Engines), obscure books (Chronicles of Amber, RIng World), Kirby (the wings of 0²), Sky: Children of the Light, and many many more. But lets work our way down the list
In some personal lore about Stickia, there are things called "Reality Engines;" but, explaining them could be their own post, so I'll be brief. The basics of "Reality Engines" are they are devices that can alter the rules of reality in basic ways. These are: gravity, molecular bonds, and other fundamental principles that the story calls. Reality Engines connect to this avatar via why it was made, specifically for an Origin that was gifted to me that can do basic gravity manipulation stuff (and some animations, but we'll get there).
As for obscure books, I cant share too much due to spoilers. But the back ring was inspired by my idea of a character from The Chronicles of Amber books, "Ghost Wheel." (And I would recommend the books! They are fun and hold up shockingly well)
Kirby, specifically 0², is pretty clear. The original model that the wings were a part of were styled after 0² because I was looking for a "Meka Angel" (and yes those are from the Meka Suit from Mekanism lol).
Finally for the listed aspects, Sky: Children of the Light, I haven't played it much recently, but I played it for a good bit and fell in love with the lore/character design; so for this avatar I took some inspiration from the color pallet of the Ancients! Specifically, the color pallets, the masks, and some of the designs from some concept art I stumbled across: https://www.tomzhao.com/sky1 (some spoilers for Sky as a heads up).
Ok but enough about Lore:tm: for the avatar. The animations are where this avatar shines.
Up first is the basic Idle Animation, this is always playing no matter what. So the wings "flap" and the ring spins. So they'll be playing in all the other example anims. Another "set" of animations is the idle floating. And while theres an enter animation and an exit animation, they are like 2 seconds long and dont look great taken out of the transition
Additonly, theres a few "toggle" Animations too! Like activating the wheel behind, and deactivating it too
Another set for the wings to act like arms too! Which then inspired another feature, item holding!
After quite a bit of trial and error of trying out different libraries, the arms show what is in my hotbar by an offset! As well, the arms try to be smart by "wrapping" around when their selected slot gets to high/low too. Along with this, there is a small animation that gets played when the slots move, which looks a bit janky, but the items changing and the speed helps cover it up.
So with all of that, I have had a few friends tell me that this avatar "aura farms," which... yeah would track lmao
#this is rly cool#i didnt know you could do so much w an avatar even w mods
Aww, thank you! And to be honest, we would still call this mostly tame when it comes to scripting. Some other Avatars that I have cooked up have a whole RGB color changing system, custom info HUD, and a few cool toys
The main power of Figura specifically it just lets you code/script everything in Lua, and a shockingly large API for getting information/making changes to your model. The semi-official Wiki is here
But uh, even my best is still "meh" compared to other's lmao. Full IK systems, custom dynamic textures on runtime, model generation with just scripts, custom rendering methods, etc etc. Its worth it to check out Figura imo

Started work on another OC character! Based on my "Ringlets" (to long to explain here, TLDR: Semi Magic Robots). The images shown to the left is their "base forms." And the image on the right is the base form, with extra arm attachments!

I have been doing a Lot IRL, ranging from starting Collage, to getting a solid friend group, and more!
But over all I really like this one! Not too bad body proportions, good coloring, and tried doing a thing with a background. I really quite like the shadowing and background.
You may be in a hurry for improving and reach perfection. But remember that it takes time and effort, the path is hard and you will fail a lot, but keep trying and moving forward to reach your goal
A card in the Trans Girl Trading Card Collection!
I wanted to join in the trend that @sadcoldcoffee and @unholytgirl started so here is The Time. As per usual referencing my favorite games and with Ignis :3
The reason this one is being called "Skeleton" is because I used a full "sketch-skeleton"! (under the cut)
But I do want to share I am quite proud of this, it feels right, and the shading helps add a bit of sorely needed depth. And I also just completely free-handed the pose as well lol
