Introducing: The King of treating other people with more care than he does himself, Pure Vanilla!!

This will hopefully be part 1 in a five part series for the ancients, going into depth about their pasts and different attributes they’ve gained over the years, had to start with the og of course :3!! I also have this: A timeline of him through the years and all of his current costumes (both with little facts added in)!

I had a lot of fun giving them new lore and interesting tidbits about themself, along with showing his experiences through his outfits/body! I can’t wait to do the others :D

Fun fact — In one of many legends about an ancient vampire, living in a manor hidden somewhere in the mountain valley, Recluse is called a “Golden Clawed Night Terror,” which he thought was absolutely ridiculous after Sage shared it with him:

“Ages pass, and yet still people love to exaggerate the most mundane of things,” he sighed. “Foolish as ever.”

“I wouldn't say anything about you is mundane, my dear,” Sage chimed in from the opposite side of the room. The telltale cling of ceramic teapot being prepared could hardly mask the chuckle in his voice.

“That’s not the point.” Recluse sighed, already feeling the headache slowly making itself known. Apparently, a few instances he was seen by humans in his bat form were enough to create another bizarre myth with his name tag on it. Ridiculous.

“Golden Clawed Night Terror,” Sage repeated, as if he was tasting the moniker, “it does have a nice ring to it.” He offered, making his way to the low table in the middle of the library’s resting area, a tray with two cups and a steaming teapot in hands.

“Sage.” Recluse let out another exasperated sigh, debating for a moment if he wanted to add any venomous remark, but quickly deciding it was not worth the effort.

Better drop the subject altogether, lest he give the researcher more reasons to continue with this less-than-meaningful conversation.
