Meme all you want, but as the kid who had interests that nobody else had, seeing something I actually like getting made into not one movie, but two, or even FOUR???

And then going to see it, going into the theater where it's completely sold out, and seeing it with people that also like the thing that I'm seeing

It's fucking cathartic.

As a kid, nobody liked the shit I was into, and I was actively bullied for it. Seeing so many people love and enjoy something I cared about for so long and actually getting to meme and joke and talk about it with them is just amazing. If you'd told me at 13 that one day my favorite things would be made into successful, sold out movies, and that real people would watch them with you, strangers you get to joke and laugh with, I would never believe you.
