CHILDREN OF THE HOLY EMPEROR
For those who has read the novel till the latest chapters or above 200. I was wondering if the twins' mother ever made an appearance? I'm truly curious about her yet I can't seem to find anyone talking about her. If you do, please tell me the chapter.
ARTEM MY SWEET GUY, MY LOVE, THE MOST CARING AND AMAZING GENTLEMAN EVER. Seriously— where have I been all this time? What was I thinking? I used to find him the less appealing out of the four male leads. Seeing him as a plain male lead with a plain office romance story with MC. BUT NOOO, THAT'S NOT TRUE AT ALL. Now I have seen it, what his appeal is. Perhaps he doesn't know Rosa since childhood and grew up with her like Luke did, didn't have an aristocratic family background and complex personality like Vyn, or came from a ridiculously wealthy and globally famous family like Marius. But that's what makes his presence comforting. He had a hard time showing his affection at first, how much he cares, but as time goes he learned how to do it. He became so tender, so soft and loving. And listen— he knows how to cook and that's hot okay? He's literally the sweetest man ever. Marius still remain as my favorite. Actually, I love all of the male leads, each of them has their own uniqueness and a special place in my heart. But Artem makes my heart soft, he and Marius is everything I wanted in a man. 💕
JENNETTE'S APPEARANCE ON THE LAST CHAPTER OF THE SIDE STORY
She looks so beautiful and mature here! The short hair, the green eyes and the everything! 💕 She even has opened her very own workshop now, I've always imagine Jennette to be the type of girl that's good at handicrafts like embroidery, lace-making, crocheting or sewing. It suits her so well!
Hehehe~ look at them all being cute childhood friends! The girls are especially cute, and the boys looks so done for no reason 🤣. I love the idea of them all being friends since they were little! This panel is especially cute and it's definitely one of my favorites.
THIS IS ALL I EVER WANT! THANK YOU SPOON!!!
SHORT HAIRED JENNETTE MY WONDERFUL DAUGHTER! I HAD DREAMT FOR A SHORT HAIR! JENNETTE IN THE ENTIRE MANWHA SINCE THE BEGINNING! THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT CANON SPOON!💗💗💗 SPOONS BEEN ON MY SIDE WHEN ALL OF THIS IS HAPPENING! OMG JENNETTE YOU LOOK SO BEAUTIFUL AND GORGEOUS WITH SHORT HAIR!!!
YESSSS I SAW A FAN ART OF SHORT HAIR JENNETE YEARS AGO AND I CAN'T GET MY HEAD OUT OF IT. WHEN I SAW IT I LITERALLY GASP, SHORT HAIR SUITS HER SO MUCH AND I WISH WE COULD'VE SEEN HER LETTING HER HAIR DOWN. EITHER WAY MY BABY IS DEFINITELY BEAUTIFUL, GORGEOUS, AMAZING AND LOVELY 💕💕💕
NOT TO MENTION SHE'S OPENING A WORKSHOP TOO! MY DARLING GIRL IS ABSOLUTELY TALENTED 😍
This is suppose to be the preview from the last chapter of the Side story (I think). I was super excited of what would Spoon-nim do for the last chapter and hope that it will be longer than the previous chapters. But the moment I saw a glance of this scene I can't help but feel so odd and frowned. Genuinely, I love and appreciate the side stories so much. The art has improved over time and I even get to see the cute story of the characters that I like (though I really wish I could get more of the side characters 🥲).
But back to the topic, I can't help but feel weirded out at the idea of Athy marrying both male leads at the same time. I mean perhaps Spoon-nim's intention was so that both male lead gets a fair ending at the same time, but was it really fair? I can imagine that Lucas would be so upset and disappointed. He would probably ask Athy to choose one of them, but I think he wouldn't make things difficult for his beloved and would rather walk away from the relationship and give up on the idea being with her. From Lucas's backstory, we get to see that he had grown up alone and never becoming a choice, casted aside (especially from his own family). Now he has to share his wife with other man? Are you serious? I mean harem is totally normal at that time but considering Lucas's personality and upbringing won't he feel so disappointed? All that efforts has gone through the door and not to mention that Athykiel has only met a few times. For your information, I'm an Ijekiel lover myself and I truly felt that this is so unfair to both of them. And seeing Lucas smiling like that feels so wrong 😭 it felt so ingenuine, same goes for Ijekiel! I was hoping their weddings would focus on each pair at one time. Imagine at your special day, you're not the only one that your bride will kiss and make vows with. I didn't really have anything to say about Ijekiel. Because in my opinion, from the manhwa's storyline itself he didn't get enough spotlight and role to be suitable enough to be the male lead. He has so much potential, I wish we could've seen more of his contributions to Athy and the story itself. Instead, we only saw that Lucas is the one that did most of the work.
I feel so bad 😭 at this point just make Athy single or something. Either way Spoon-nim has worked hard.
Notes: Please pardon my grammar and correct me if there's any mistake. Feel free to comment your own opinion! 🤗
(I wrote this before the release of the last chapter)
I've been thinking of Meimeng (Mei HanXue x Xue Meng) and MeiJiang (Mei Hanxue x Jiang Xi) for a while, and I think it's kinda hilarious 🤣. I'm really into this ships these days. But imagine being Xue meng. What do you mean my step-dad(?) is also my brother in law? And same goes for Jiang xi. What do you mean my son in law(?) is also my brother in law?
(Spoiler, in case you didn't know the context. Jiang xi is actually Mengmeng's biological dad despite Xue meng didn't really regard him as one)
I've been reading/watching MDZS and Yu Ziyuan (Madam Yu) they could never make me like you. This is really controversial as there are still a lot of fans that really like this character and it's definitely okay to like her as people have different views. But her abuse and violence towards Wei wuxian is NOT okay. I mean, yeah she's definitely one of the powerful and independent female character which I usually like, but her physical and verbal abuse towards Wei wuxian and Jiang cheng (which is HER own son) must not be overlooked. Just imagine, after living on the streets for many years, a random man (JFM) approached you and say that he'll bring you "home", but only to get physical and verbal attack by your supposed-to-be maternal figure and that so called "saviour" of yours only watched as you get beaten up regularly. Like wtf? Wei wuxian is definitely better than me cause I would definitely hold grudges deep inside. I would definitely still be grateful and love my shijie (JYL) and shidi (JC) with all my heart, but the rest? F*ck y'all. One of the reason why Jiang cheng have a love-hate feelings towards Wei wuxian is also because of madam Yu. Imagine always being the target of abuse and jealousy just because of the mother that you barely get know cause she died early. And imagine being gatekeep about your parents, cause I know Yu Ziyuan's jealous ass would not wanted to speak about them and Jiang Fengmian's coward personality would barely give Wei wuxian any information regarding HIS parents. What do you mean you're jealous of a deceased woman? Why do you kept quiet as your wife misunderstood you and kept beating up your supposed-to-be ward? Is communicating with each other THAT hard? As parents and the adults of the house they should definitely know better. Their pride and cowardice not only destroy their marriage but also their children's mentality. Even until the present timeline, I believe Jiang cheng still have some sort of insecurities towards Wei wuxian even after he became a sect leader of his own, he still hold grudges and jealousy towards Wei wuxian cause that's what he knew and what his mother told him growing up.
MANHWA! Who made me a princess.
More opinion regarding the one and only, Claude de alger Obelia!
I don't how to start, but I've been thinking this for a while. We all know that the reason why Claude inflicted the black magic on himself to forget Diana and Athanasia is because he can't handle the fact that Diana has died. And he hates Athy so much to the point he wanted to kill her when he first saw her as an infant (and yes he did actually ended up killing her in the LP au for his pettiness and apathy). But what I meant is that, why did he even do 'it' with Diana if he feared of losing his lover from childbirth? I mean- okay, in the canon story Diana died due to Athanasia's excessive mana (which literally came from none other than Claude himself). Perhaps was it because he didn't expected their child to inherit his magic? He himself should've known that he's so powerful and that his offspring was most likely to be the same. Yet he did it anyways. But in this case let's forget about magic, let's pretend that Athanasia didn't have that much magic. In general, childbirth has always been risky. You could've from any reason during childbirth. Perhaps it's due to excessive blood loss, infections and other medical reasons. So even if Diana didn't die due to Athy's excessive mana she still could've died from any medical reason. And in that era, I believe there's still no modern technology that can help with it. Perhaps she can be saved with magic? If that's the case then why can't Claude find other ways to save his lover from dying instead of abandoning her in the concubine palace at the mercy of other concubines (since in the manhwa the personality of the concubines were not described) but most of them usually came from noble family, and we all know that nobles are usually selfish and hates their rival, especially if it's just a common dancer who have just lost the emperor's favour (at least that's how they depict it) so who knows what happens to her during that time where the emperor won't even come to see her.
Notes: And again this is just a personal interpretation, if there's any mistake feel free to voice it out! ☺🤗
Re-reading Wmmap for the (???) time and Claude is actually a shitty human being in general, I've always considered him as a horrible father, but never quite realize that he's also a horrible human being. Like- in the manhwa, Athanasia mentions that in 'the lovely princess' Claude is a praised as a wise and just emperor who saved the nation and blablabla, and it's pretty clear that it's actually bullshit. And no, I didn't mean that Claude is not a befitting ruler. In fact, I think he's really capable (but let's not forget the fact that he has a habit of threatening people who disagree or wronged him despite it being trivial). It seems like the people of Obelia actually live in peace and it is said that Obelia is actually wealthy and prosperous empire. What I mean is that Claude is truly lacking Emotional Quotient (EQ), perhaps due to his rough childhood. But was it really befitting for an emperor who is praised as 'just' and 'wise'? In the Lovely Princess novel, he executed Athanasia without even planning to find out the truth and when he did, he barely cares! Like dude c'mon- he might be a shitty dad but even if he hates Athanasia and didn't consider her as a daughter, can't he at least consider her as a human being and also let's not forget the fact that she is still part of the Obelian empire even though she's the 'forgotten princess'. And his job as an emperor is literally to protect the citizen of the empire. Yet he barely baits an eye when just killed a human being, he didn't even feel guilty after knowing he just killed TWO innocent people. Anyone can clearly tell that he never even once considered human lives as valuable (except for the one that had already gain his favour). This shows how much of a shitty person he is, not only as a father but also as a human being.
(Notes: This is just my opinion btw haha, everyone probably already knows but I just feel like writing it out. Some might not agree but it's okay! And English is not my native language so if there's misspelling please forgive me 🥲)
