I need to set up permanent lizard cam so you guys can watch them all day.
*I ended up rescuing the bearded dragon I had posted about before. Animal Control is being called but I just had to rescue her because she’s a cutie. (The bigger picture is her, the smaller is original girly)
The best thing to do would be to get the bearded dragon and put it down, theres no coming back if it is that bad. And call the humane society, ive had to before and they did get officers out there and take the animals away.
Yea, that’s what I assumed they would do, it just breaks my heart to know that’s what will probably happen. Even if it means she’s not hurting anymore. I will be calling, I can’t today (Sunday) but tomorrow I will.
I went to check out a Female Bearded Dragon at this ladies house and when she opened the door I was in shock praying that the Bearded Dragon on her chest wasn’t the one that I was there to look at, but it was.
Maybe you should report her to what ever animal rights group is in the area? I dunno where you live so I don’t know if you have the SPCA or something but reporting her is definitely a thing that should be done.
I’m in Colorado, and the area that she was located only has a Humane Society as far as I can see. I’m going to be contacting them and finding out what I can do.
Unfortunately, they probably won’t do much. I live outside of Denver and the neighbor’s who used to live next to my dad had these two huskies that they were abusing and mistreating, so we called Humane Society and they basically told us they couldn’t do anything about it. The living conditions were terrible and they weren’t providing any water for these two very furry dogs they left outside during the summer.
They did come to check out the property and look at the dogs and stuff, and I can’t remember why they said they couldn’t do anything, but that was it.
She’s closer to the Grand Junction area and there are groups that will take reptiles around here the only thing I’m worried about is that she had birds and dogs as well. The Birds were living in their own feces, I couldn’t see the dogs tho, she had them locked up in a room.
I’ve never had to turn someone in before, so it’s kinda nerve wracking to call for me. I’m also scared she will know it was me, and then seek vengeance. (I’m a nervous person for this kind of stuff)

She had a medium/severe case of MBD, her ribs on one side were curled in, her neck was so retracted that she couldn’t really turn her head, she has a growing under bite and her tail was cricked 3 different ways.
The lady told me that she gets fed ONCE. A. MONTH.
She looked so severely dehydrated that her head fats were not there, they were sunken holes on her head and almost every bone that could be sticking out, was.
I immediately knew I couldn’t take on that project, as much as I wanted to save her. The lady wanted 50$ for her and 50$ for her tank that was so cracked on the bottom I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t make it home. (I am still debating going back and getting her, trying to give her a better life and putting off getting another breeding pair.)
So I remembered that she had posted about selling 2 Leopard Geckos as well so I asked her about those.
Well she takes me into her “Reptile Room” (Which was a room that had about 15 tanks in it cluttered everywhere, dirt, feces, bugs and more malnourished animals.) and climbs over some tanks to grab a hold of these two sub-adult/adult Leos that were cohabited.)
They’re not in bad shape, on the outside. She wanted 30$ for the pair so I decided sure, why not.
One is a Female Bell Albino.
The other is a Male High Yellow.
On the way home one of them threw up this wad of crickets and what looked like Pink Aquarium Gravel(?) the size of my thumb. I don’t know which one threw it up because I wasn’t looking when it happened.
So this is my project while I quarantine them from my other reptiles.
(If you missed it, my bearded dragon Lady, AKA Deance laid 2 perfectly white plump eggs in her enclosure at 5am on the 31st of March. 2 days prior to my incubator getting here)
The two eggs she laid did not make it, I wasn’t able to get them to an incubator in time.
However, I now have mine all set up for her. She had to go to the vet today to get induced because it her egg laying schedule was pretty far spread.
First 2 eggs - March 25th. (Were duds 100%)
Second 2 eggs - March 31st. (The ones I panicked from)
Third 2 eggs - April 2nd. (Laid at our friends house who has them in her incubator)
Our vet wants her to have all them out before next week or greater steps will have to be taken.
She has around 10 left.
She is currently digging and I’m pretty sure she will be laying the rest today/tonight.

Here’s what you need to know:
You already have a Marva’s item in your hoard. Check the “Other” tab. It is not acquired through gathering or anything else; it’s automatically given to you.
There are 5 different colours/types. They are: Marva’s Astonishing Cord (black), Marva’s Wondrous Thread (pink/blue/yellow), Marva’s Marvelous Twine (white/blue), Marva’s Glorious Yarn (green/purple), Marva’s Stupendous Fiber (purple/yellow).
It appears each person receives a randomised colour in their hoard.
You can open the item as many times as you want. It will change colour each time you open it.
Following last year’s April Fools item, the function of the item should change on April 2. At that point the item will likely become “fixed” or functionally a regular chest-type item, and (if the pattern from last year persists) some kind of other item should pop out of Marva’s thread. (Last year it was bunny familiars. The type of familiar you got depended on which state/colour you left your Marva’s item in. I suspect the pattern will hold for this year as well.)
