St Francis receives the Stigmata
It is time to work like a dog
I still feel your blue glow but Iām trying not to.
I walk through downtown and my head is engulfed by flame, I wake suddenly to find everything the same!
I looked back at the footprints in the sand but saw only one pair, had I walked alone?
I had a dream that it held me, and whispered in my ear. I woke to pray.
Oh lord my God, I am always afraid, draw near to me
8 select photos from the camera roll of a previous owner of the digital camera I thrifted this summer. The rest of these accidental compositions create colorful vignettes of day trips to the beach, Vegas holidays, baseball games, drunk pissing, evenings in dive bars, and weekends spent at the racetrack.
Lost footage from a digicam I got at a thrift
Guardās families lived here and would enjoy the bowling alley and soda fountain on the island, just yards away from people incarcerated in total isolation.
The parable of the blind, Bruegel the elder, 1568.
New masks wonāt hide old scars
Four fingers too late in the door of a car
Keep coming back, keep wanting more
Slick words from my lip meet your ears with a chore
Fountain of life welling up outside,
youād die should you take a sip.
Iām running Iām sprinting Iām resting Iām crying
You just got up, you told me
āIām tryingā.
I could hear the blood spurt from your wrists,
we watched it soak into the grout.
Wiped it up with locks of your hair,
told me youād have none of those doubts.
So no stone was left unturned,
we breezed through pages, breezed through chapters,
now Iām convinced Iām not convinced at all,
even just the morning after.
