In Plain Sight (RP with Ash-in-the-Wyn)
The machine being cringed. “P-prowl. In these words.”
"...in English?" she quirked, "Prowl.... interesting. I'm Ashawyn... Wyn is what I prefered to be called" she said, might as well be polite.

In Plain Sight (RP with Ash-in-the-Wyn)
The machine being cringed. “P-prowl. In these words.”
"...in English?" she quirked, "Prowl.... interesting. I'm Ashawyn... Wyn is what I prefered to be called" she said, might as well be polite.
In Plain Sight (RP with Ash-in-the-Wyn)
Those terrified blue eyes flicked to Wyn’s for just an instant, and there was a moment of something other than fear in that gaze before it dropped to the broken parking lot again. “The keys…keep me. A—prisoner.” Another glance at her face. “I can’t leave them, but I can’t hold them.”
Wyn blinked and looked at her pocket. A... prisoner? She turned to look at the being again, "...w...what is your name?" she asked, that was the important thing, if this being had a name then they had some importance.
In Plain Sight (RP with Ash-in-the-Wyn)
"No!" The creature scrabbled back another few feet. "No! I—please!"
She flinched at the reaction, "Sorry!" she apologzied again, "I-I thought... w-what are you even?" she asked, "Why are these keys important? Why were you here?"
In Plain Sight (RP with Ash-in-the-Wyn)
The being squeaked, but whimpered, “…yes.”
"....w-what do I do with them?" she asked, "I don't want to control you or have someone control you" she told them. "D...do you want them? So others can't have them?"
In Plain Sight (RP with Ash-in-the-Wyn)
The giant being watched Wyn as though she had it cornered, and when she crossed some invisible line it actually put its face to the asphalt and whimpered again—but this whimper ended in a sound that might have been a word. "Pl-ee-ee-eease."
"I'm... not going to hurt you. I-If I did... I'm sorry" she apologized to the being. "Do... these keys control you?" she asked.... seriously she might need her head checked at some point, this had to be a dream. She was probably unconscious at home right now for all she knew. This had to be part of her subconsciousness.
In Plain Sight (RP with Ash-in-the-Wyn)
The machine twitched and hunched down to the ground as soon as Wyn moved, and it didn’t relax and start to raise its head again until she’d been still for almost five full minutes. It eased its way out of the store a fraction at a time, bellying down in terror every time Wyn moved—and several times when she didn’t. It finally cleared the building, out in the open…but instead of fleeing in any of the several directions it could easily have gone, it backed away to the far end of the parking lot, bellied down again, and sat still, watching in silence.
Wyn bit her lower lip and watched the being. She tried to edge closer to the being and moved to slowly get on the ground and make herself smaller and even less of a threat to the large metalic being.
In Plain Sight (RP with Ash-in-the-Wyn)
Those bright blue eyes followed Wyn’s every move, and especially the hand holding the keys. The flower-thing folded neatly, though it didn’t return to its original key form, and slid into her pocket easily. The machine being didn’t move until Wyn had been still for several long seconds. Then it slid just one hand forward, carefully away from the human, as if to extricate itself from the building and broken glass. It really did look like a frightened wild animal, as hesitant and tense as it was.
Wyn kept watching and keeping still. She waited and moved back to lean against the nearest wall, which was dirty and not all too safe looking... rough and full of holes of varying sizes. The small woman kept a close eye on the being and bit her lower lip as she kept seeing the feral like actions move with the being.
In Plain Sight (RP with Ash-in-the-Wyn)
Its glowing blue eyes widened and it shrank away from the offered keys, actually backing into the store and kicking out more of the window as it tried to cram itself in through what was for it a very tight space. Even the doors on its back seemed to be trying to get as far away as possible, stretching back and down and trembling with tension. It made a sound, and this time it was definitely a whimper. A whimper of fear.
Wyn paused and looked at the keys questioningly. She bit her lower lip and tried to close the flower-key-thing and put it in her pocket. She didn't want the being fearful of her. She wanted answers and didn't want this being to be scared. It hurt her heart with seeing such actions and hearing that whimper. It was like facing a feral being that was terrified and needed special handling. Wyn didn't have that special handling and she knew that she should call someone else, but... the being was already scared... she had... released it from their bindings and she guessed she should take care of them... some how.
In Plain Sight (RP with Ash-in-the-Wyn)
The impact of the key ring with the parking lot must have tripped a switch, because the big form squawked and fell forward onto its hands and knees as electrical sparks zapped over and around and through it again. When the electrical display ended the figure with the glowing eyes scooted away until it bumped into the store building, putting a foot through the display window. It froze as the glass shattered and tinkled down around its leg, apparently unhurt…but if the direction of its gaze and the expression on its weird metal face was anything to go by, it was absolutely terrified—of Wyn.
The small woman winced at the squawk and watched the mechanical being scurry back away from her. She bit her lip and carefully got the keys when she saw that being very careless with them caused lots of trouble, and maybe some pain she couldn't tell.
"S-Sorry" she said, not sure why she was apologizing and trying to make herself even smaller than the.... being. Wyn was tiny compared to the larger being and yet... she couldn't understand why they were scared of her of all things. She was sure that her mother might be scarier than her, May sure was more scarier than she was. Yet... this being was fearful of her, terrified even!
"I...I'm sorry" she repeated and moved closer slowly, putting her hands up and holding the keys out to the being. Maybe they knew what to do with it? She sure was clueless with them.

The machine made a faint whining noise, but stayed put, its doors trembling.
She made a noise and threw the keys to the ground and covered her face. She was getting stressed on this whole deal and a headache was forming. This wasn't helping one bit! Wyn just wanted answers! Was that too much to ask?!
In Plain Sight (RP with Ash-in-the-Wyn)
The car unfolded again, and again curled itself into that ball-of-car-parts pose. Now that the sun was going down, the glow of its eyes showed in the cracks between its arms and thighs, even though it kept its head tucked down as though trying to hide.
"Ohhhhhh frrrrick just tell me what the living mess this is?" she asked the machine while staring at... him? her? it? They?! Wyn didn't know and made a face that showed she wasn't happy about any of this confusion.
In Plain Sight (RP with Ash-in-the-Wyn)
The key ring buzzed a little in Wyn’s hand as she approached the car. "Suppression cycle complete. Mode locks closed. Command system ready."
Once more she looked at the screen then made a noise. She wished she had answers for all of this... She pressed the farthest right and waited, wondering what she did now and hoped it would get her answers....
In Plain Sight (RP with Ash-in-the-Wyn)
One of the petals on the key ring clicked in Wyn’s fingers, and the machine-man jerked, rolled, then folded up again—but this time the aging police car was facing into the former convenience store’s display window, and one of its taillights was aglow.
Jerking back, the redhead watched the machine fold up again into the vehicle form then saw what it was doing. She sighed and made a noise before getting up and moving towards... it. She looked at the open flower key thing and wondered what connection was between it and.... that machine.
In Plain Sight (RP with Ash-in-the-Wyn)
The sounds stopped after a little while. It was a longer while, long enough for the sun to sink to the tops of the taller buildings, before one of the big robotic hands moved and a blue light—a blue glowing eye—looked across the cracked parking lot at the watching human.
Upon being looked on, Wyn flinched and gripped the keys tightly and made a little noise that was a whimper of fear while she twitched and shifted to get in a position to spring up and run if possible. Thankfully she was in her running shoes and not some of the fancier shoes she wore at times.
In Plain Sight (RP with Ash-in-the-Wyn)
Poking the petals caused some action, all right. The first caused visible snakes of electrical activity to arc and crawl over the hunched thing, and it made a loud squealing noise and toppled backward. The next key didn’t seem to do anything. The third made the big body jerk and stretch out on its side, enormous metal hands reaching up to cover a face—it was definitely a face. The twenty-foot-plus figure lay on its side, shuddering and making high, fragmented noises that might have been its version of whimpers.
The small human shook and watched the car....alien machine... thing. It made noises that reminded her of what she heard earlier in her head. It made her body shake again and goose-bumps appear along her exposed skin. She poked a few more yet when they didn't do anything, she just watched the being and laid the keys down.
In Plain Sight (RP with Ash-in-the-Wyn)
The former car stayed where it was, balanced exactly as it was. A faint thrumming reached Wyn’s ears after a while—there was at least one moving part inside the sculpture-thing. After another while a noticeable tremor appeared—just the tips of the car doors mounted on the thing’s back were moving, quivering like the ears of a very large and frightened rabbit.
The open key-flower in Wyn’s hand flashed helpfully. "Mode change locked. Control systems active, battery status 78%."
Wyn looked at the key when it flashed and she read it. She didn't understand what it meant and just groaned before trying a few petals to see what they did. She hoped it wasn't messing anything up nor was it going to cause her any danger because this thing was seriously creeping her out right now and making her on edge. If it attacked her she would be dead without a doubt.
In Plain Sight (RP with Ash-in-the-Wyn)
Some of the parts shuddered as if stuck, crashed against something else, then popped loose and hung at strange angles as the bizarre transformation ended. And it did end, leaving what at first impression looked like a ball of car parts cut up and stuck to an underlying frame of junk, with the doors sticking out at the top and pointed toward the sky. It would fit perfectly among the sculptures displayed outside art museums, large and dirty and meaningful only to their creators. That was the first impression. The second impression was weirder.
The second impression sorted out angles and shadows and found a figure with a head, arms, and legs, crouching with arms locked around its tightly-folded legs and head tucked against its knees, balanced improbably well on feet built up of bumpers, fenders, and tires. It squatted there unmoving and silent.
Wyn was frozen in place and staring. She was having a sensory overload from all of what she was seeing. This.... what was this?! A scream caught in her throat as she stared at the...the....THING before her and shook while being frozen in place from fear of this unknown thing.
