‘Moon Sailor’ by Kotaro Chiba fills me with a quiet sense of hope and peace. This illustration is a wonderful interpretation of the classic Ukiyo-e style.
The great thing about drawing something from a fanfic is that sometimes you get to read the fanfic again 😌
apparently I have 0 chill and have a lot of thoughts about Kagome being the first person to just accept Inuyasha as he is (besides his parents).
"Kill them with kindness" WRONG. drop the opera house chandelier on them.
RIN CAN DO BOTH
Well, NOT EXACTLY the opera house chandelier but still...

The colors we see while Kagome goes through time in the well always reminded me of space. Feel free to see the original painted version I made for Inktober 2015 under the cut!

Rewatching Inuyasha and i just need to gush about what a genius plot device the Shikon no Tama is. One thing I always thought the anime did really well is balance monster of the week type episodes and an interesting overarching plot. And i think the jewel is a big part of that.
When it shatters, it’s impossible to say how many pieces it shatters into. That lets the author play around with how many shards need to be collected - which is essentially as many as the story demands to be as expansive or narrow with respect to overall plot.
It perfectly ties Kagome to the past and gives her a good reason to be there, and not only that but stay relevant to the story once she is there given that shes the only one who can see the shards.
Idk i just think it’s really cool how well it works for the story.

"Then I saw when the Lamb broke one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder, "Come!" I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer."
