A tour of Kaelar (a type of human) and Empyrean (a type of elf) freeholds!

Freeholds are plots of land where you have enough space to place various buildings (or enough for one very large manor-like one, from what we’ve heard).  We’ve also learned that we probably won’t be racially locked to freehold styles—so you can choose from a list of what you’d like to build!

Ashes of Creation: Kickstarter Today!

The Ashes of Creation Kickstarter (for additional features, the game is already fully funded!) goes live today!  In 1 hour and 56 minutes, to be exact!  We have learned that the following packages are options within the KS, though likely not be all of them:

Kickstarter Alpha Access (This Alpha will happen Q4 2017)

Kickstarter Beta Access (2018)

Lifetime Subscription (normally around the standard $10-$15 USD a month!  Only available through the Kickstarter period!)

Cosmetics, Mounts, and more!

Intrepid Studios personally have the funds to confidently release their game.  However, as with all things of this sort of a scope, there is a budget.  They are already over a year in development, but decided to allow the Kickstarter so that the community could invest in features that they’d like to see in the game.  (One of the stretch goals is the ability to make our own music in-game, for instance!)

Information on the KS packages, what they include, and what the terms they use mean I’ll personally post/explain.  There should be a bunch of information on the game itself as well!  Awesome stuff ahead!

Concept art of two mounts, drawn none other than Jeff Delierre!

The first is a “Runic Steed”, the runes on its body will glow, and its mane and tail will have unique visual effects!

The second is something of a mule, used to carry goods!

Something awful happened here, long ago...

I find this particular set of concept art very interesting.  You can see beings of some sort flying and using beams of fire to attack the city.  It’s said that due to divine intervention the people of the world were able to escape through a portal—and the world was destroyed.

Which leaves us with one very important question:  What happened?
