Is robbing with Timothée a concept??
[ Robbers - The 1975 vibes ]
Ur welcome
i didn’t know this is what i needed but this is what i needed
i honestly don’t know if this makes sense
a list of artists i’ve listened to while twenty one pilots have been MIA
glass animals - the literal best band in the whole world
harry styles - his solo album is actually surprisingly extremely good
declan mckenna - more people should know about this boy you will not regret please
jesse rutherford - for a good time with some relateable lyrics
the neighbourhood - because you can’t listen to jesse and not his band (completely different sound and just as good)
lorde - why wouldn’t you listen to lorde melodrama was the best thing to come out of 2017 (also gotta support the fellow kiwis)
the 1975 - idk why i didn’t listen to this band when absolutely everyone was blasting chocolate back when i was in school but i finally did it and there are some great songs 100%
halsey - the new album is amazing and i love it
fall out boy - they only have like three new songs and they are completely different to what you would expect but after a couple listens they are actually great songs please do not fight me
catfish and the bottlemen - i mean with a band name like this???
billie eilish - watch is such a good fucking song and her voice and she’s like 16 or something and it’s great
bastille - i will never not listen to this band and i’m finally seeing them live so the hype is real
25 Not So Easy Changes to Better Yourself
1. Take the extra time every time you go out to make sure you look neat.
Your hair shouldn’t look like you just got out of bed from flailing around all night nor should it look greasy or like you haven’t showered. If you wear sandals, those toenails better be neatly trimmed and filed or painted. If you go to school or work for the day then your clothes shouldn’t be a mass of wrinkles. Take pride in your appearance as it will give you more confidence and encourage good habits.
I know it’s great to just hop in the car and drive to the late night store for a pound of junk food with friends but take the extra minute to brush your hair or switch a stained shirt for a fresh shirt. Besides, you never know who you’re gonna see on your way out.
2. Learn to value your time.
This is really hard for me personally, but it’s super important. Your time and presence is something to be valued and consumed with gratitude, not taken advantage of and then thrown out. Valuing your time leads to you building more respect for yourself because you prevent people from just using you. It will help your stress because you don’t feel obligated to give up a night meant for you to do a favor for someone you know isn’t gonna pay you back like they promise.
If someone asks you to give them time last minute and you don’t mind or you really want to, go for it! If your first emotion is anxiety, stress, disappointment, or anger though, just say no. Don’t even give an excuse, just outright say no. Chances are they won’t even ask why they’ll just find someone else.
3.Be mindful of how you use your words.
Words can build people up and tear them down even quicker. Once it is said it can’t be easily taken back, so think carefully before you speak. Consider speaking slower to be more immersed in the conversation and think better of what you want to get across. You will come across more mature that way.
4. Wardrobe.
Trendy outfits are nice, sure. The issue with trends is that they fade and are not really worth their price more often than not. I saw a plain black crop top with a knot tied at the front for 20 bucks at the mall when I could literally do that myself for a quarter of that price. Be smart with what you buy. Make sure you set aside money to replace faded garments or ones that you’ve outgrown. Make sure you have proper business attire for professional engagements, elegant clothing for high end events, casual clothes for time out with friends. Be smart with what you invest in.
5. Speaking of investments, study up on financing and budgeting.
Learn how to watch the stock market so you know what to invest in. Do your own taxes. Learn how to make a budget and FOLLOW it. Money is value, and if you wait until your thirties or forties to learn how to build a foundation it will be too late and it will put you way behind. Yes, it’s boring, but it’s important.
6.Learn how to network and interact with people.
Lots of people deal with social anxiety and never really learn how to deal with it. You don’t need to thrust yourself into a crowd of people and try to mingle when you aren’t ready. Start small- just look people in the eyes and say good morning when they pass by you. Sit up straight when you’re talking to someone rather than slouching and refusing to meet their gaze. Do some research on tips for keeping up a good conversation and getting rid of jitters.
The fact of the matter is, most jobs require you have some kind of people skills. If you want to progress upwards and snag those promotions, get your name out, and build a good reputation, you’re gonna have to start talking with people.
7.Do your research.
Before you go on dates, job interviews, big meetings, etc. If you know what your date does for a living, do a little research on it. Google some good questions to ask in your job interview when they inevitably ask, “now what questions do you have for me?” Before meeting with someone big, do a little research on them to go in prepared. Show that you care, show that you are a go-getter, show that you are something to look up to.
8. Don’t keep around people who bring more negativity than joy or people who you worry about because they might embarrass you.
This includes friends, lovers, and unfortunately, family. Surround yourself with people who will better you, not people who will drag you down.
9. Don’t lower your standards because someone who doesn’t deserve you thinks you should.
10. Your choices and their consequences are yours to make and receive. Don’t allow anyone to try to control them.
11. Seek out goals and a life you truly want, not one that was mapped out for you by someone else.
12. Never change yourself to fit someone else’s idea of you.
13. Continue to educate yourself.
Study, study, study. Broaden your perspectives and increase your chance for opportunity.
14. Be aware of current events, local and global.
15. Being able to weigh risk vs. reward is something that will take you very far in career and life.
16. Learn the power of “No.”
Never feel like you have to do something. By being able to stand up for yourself and say no to things you don’t want, you empower yourself and put people who need it in their place.
17. Quit taking things personally.
Even if it was meant to be a personal attack, you don’t have to receive it as one. Just accept or ignore and move on to a freer life. Don’t let people have such control over your mental state.
18. Take pride in your space.
This means keeping your work area, home, and possessions clean and in good condition.
19. Treat yourself right.
Eat well, exercise daily (walking around and enjoying nature is perfectly fine), go to bed at a decent time, splurge on things you like because you’re in a good mood and want to treat yourself. Take care of yourself, love yourself.
20. Let your actions speak for you.
21. Don’t let other people’s problems weigh you down so much that you start to lose yourself in them.
Sure, you’re a great friend for listening to everyone’s problems, but that stays with you even if they feel better after. That bit of negativity has been split between you. If you feel like enough is enough, it’s okay to stop someone from sharing and politely telling them, “Hey, sorry, I’m just not in a very happy mood and would like to be left out of this.”
22. Talk less about your problems and more about the good things that happen to you.
23. Accept compliments with a smile and a “thank you.”
It may feel awkward for my socially impaired readers but by trying to dismiss someone’s compliment or by dissing yourself out of awkwardness you’re being incredibly rude and it makes people super uncomfortable.
24. Take sex more seriously.
You can do whatever you want with your body and sexuality, but sex is pretty intimate and can be very exhausting if you’re just having one night stands or booty calls. Only engaging in sex with someone who makes you feel good and not someone who is just there for your entertainment will save you a lot of time and stress.
25. Follow good advice you receive from others and even from yourself.
Alice in Alice in Wonderland was relatable when she said, “I give myself quite good advice, but I seldom follow it.” Just start small. You won’t be perfect, but reblogging and saving posts that you think have great advice that you never look at again is not gonna help you. Quit picturing a better you and sighing about how you wished you were like that, and actually do it.
Good Habits to Enforce in Yourself
I had a post like this on my old profile before it got deleted, so I’m kind of improving it and lengthening it for a repost. These are good ways to take care of yourself as best as you can, things that over time will help you develop more of a love and care for yourself. By putting in extra effort to take care of your body you will subconsciously grow to love yourself a little more. Through this nurture, blooms love and care.
Skin:
1) Do some research to find out your skin type. Once you figure that out, research some tips to work with it. I have dry skin, so my routine involves a lot of moisture and brightening products, and I had to stop using products with acne medications because they dry the hell out of my skin.
If you have oily skin, you’ll want to use your acne product and then add moisture, because if you don’t your skin will begin to dry and will try to overcompensate by creating too much oil. Be careful with the products you use as well, make sure you use products that are made with good ingredients. You don’t want to try a new product all over your face and have one of the ingredients cause a horrible flare up. This takes time, but once you figure out what products and routine works for you, it will really change how you feel about your complexion.
2) Invest in one of those big brushes and use it to gently brush your skin. This will help your blood circulation, and will not only brighten your skin, but it will also relax you.
3) Use SPF 30 or higher. You don’t need anything higher than SPF 50 because studies have shown that it really doesn’t do much for you after that, but do use sunscreen to protect from the harmful rays not just outside, but inside as well if you’re exposed to the rays. Sun damage not only causes melanoma, but also will accelerate your aging process, cause wrinkles, make your skin texture leathery, and all other kinds of issues. There’s sunscreen lotions for full body with coconut oil in it that don’t have that awful pool smell as well, and I’ve found it to be a pleasure to use.
4) Drink good fluids. I’m sure all of you drink enough water to drown a fish, but don’t just drink water. Adding lemon will give it a nice taste, help you feel more satisfied, and the citrus is very good for your complexion. Drinking a cup of water when you wake up is a good way to flush out the gastric fluid buildup in your system, and will also help wake you up. Avoid drinks with lots of processed sugars like juice and soda. Calories in drinks are often overlooked, and are a huge part of gaining large amounts of weight.
5) Try to be asleep between 11 pm and 4 am. The cell turnover rate is highest during this time, so try to be asleep so your skin can renew itself properly.
6) Take collagen supplements and get plenty of Vitamin C. These are super nutrients for a glowing complexion.
7) Never go to bed without removing makeup or taking a cloth with some micellar water and wiping your face. There is so much gunk that gets into your skin by not doing this it’s disgusting. Do your skin a favor and take the extra few to wash this stuff off.
8) Eat more fatty foods like fish, nuts, and avocados. Lots of people don’t like fish, so taking fish oil tablets is perfectly fine as well. A half an avocado or a handful of almonds makes a great snack that will nourish your skin. These being high in fats, however, are also high in calories. Don’t gorge yourself or you’ll see some chub developing on you, despite how healthy it is.
9) Work up a sweat. Sweating gets rid of toxins from your body and exercise is just healthy in general. Make sure you immediately remove the clothes you wore though or it’ll trap in the sweat and cause a rash or breakout.
Hair:
1) Refrain from using shampoo more than a few times a week, as this dries your scalp and can cause flaking and itchiness.
2) Use a hair mask weekly. Use one that is suited for your hair’s needs. Personally, I use hair masks with avocado or coconut because they bring in a lot of moisture which wavy hair requires. If you have a dandruff problem, use a mask with tea tree or eucalyptus, something that will clarify. Just experiment and find what works.
3) Braid your hair before sleeping or wear a cap. Cotton sheets not only absorb and suck out moisture in your skin and hair, but it also causes needless breakage and frizziness.
4) Use a wet brush or wide toothed comb when your hair is wet. Your hair is very elastic and weak when wet, and these items bend better around knots and are more gentle than a regular brush.
5) Let conditioner sit for a few minutes before washing.
6) Just as you would with your skin, research your hair and how to properly take care of it. Someone with very fine hair would never employ the same technique as someone with very tightly coiled hair.
7) Use a leave in conditioner. A hair oil or cream to let sit after styling or while drying will leave your hair looking shiny and soft.
8) As with skin, fatty foods are incredibly beneficial for hair. Also eat plenty of dark leafy greens.
9) If you use heat on your hair, make sure you use a heat protectant. This is very important for preventing spit ends and breakage.
10) Use a scrunchie to tie your hair. Don’t use hair ties with those metal attachments and by God if you use a straight rubber band (not those tiny ones meant for your hair but I mean the office supply shit) I will smack you.
Teeth:
1) Make flossing and mouthwash your new best friends. Use a mouthwash that has no alcohol after a good floss. Protect those pearly whites.
2) Refrain from processed sugars and sodas.
3) Don’t brush your teeth within an hour of eating. This rubs off your enamel.
4) Take calcium supplements if you don’t get much from your diet. Calcium is pretty important for building bones and teeth, helping your immunity, and binding different molecules in your body. Don’t skimp out on it.
Nails:
1) File once a week. This will keep them looking neat and you can shape them however you please.
2) Use vitamin E oil. Vitamin E oil is great for hangnails, and will give your nails a stronger, healthier appearance. Massaging it into your nails every night will make them look well kept and perfectly prepped for polish.
3) Wear gloves when cleaning. Household cleaners will eat away and weaken your nails.
4) Don’t bite them.
5) After removing nail polish, allow your nails a few days to recuperate without any polish. This will keep them from getting brittle and possibly breaking.
General:
1) Keep your body moving. You don’t have to exercise an hour a day to keep fit. By keeping your legs moving occasionally and going on walks outside every day, you can lower your stress and it’s low impact if you have health issues or have been restricting and insist on getting some kind of exercise.
2) Practice good posture. Practice walking with something on your head if you’d like. Sitting and standing with good posture will tighten your core, improve your focus, improve your spine health, and even burns more calories. You’ll appear more confident and feel more confident.
3) Pay attention to your diet and what goes into your body. You don’t have to go vegetarian or vegan to eat clean. Just focus on putting nutritious food into your body and avoid greasy, processed junk. Proper nutrition is pretty important, and no matter how much you work out you can’t avoid the damage being done by eating junk all the time.
4) Do stretches in the morning when you wake up. Loosen up your body and improve your flexibility while your at it. Just a few stretches, a couple minutes, very easy.
5) Make your bed when you wake up. A great way to start your day off right and just makes your room appear neater.
6) Reserve about a half hour to an hour before your planned bed time to destress. Stretch yourself, put on some music, dim the lights, etc. Get yourself in the mindset to sleep. Improve your quality of sleep to improve your overall health.
Mammals both produce milk and have hair. Ergo, a coconut is a mammal.
I know you’re being facetious, but this is an actual issue with morphology-based phylogeny.
*leans over and whispers to person beside me* what are they talking about
*leans over and whispers back* Human ability to quantify and categorize natural phenomena is sketchy at best and wildly misleading at worst
consider the coconut
this reminds me of that time Plato defined humans as “featherless bipeds” and Diogenes ran in with a plucked chicken screaming “BEHOLD A MAN!”
i love how you say “it reminds me of that time” like you were there.
listen if an immortal feels brave and supported enough to come out we should respect them
This post is a journey
1 Reblog = 1 Respect
I maintain that humans started attempting classify animals, and some god or another made the platypus, and is still laughing.
Zeus: *hits joint* okay so like. It’s gonna have a duck bill right. But an otter body okay? And then a beaver tail. It’s a mammal. But. It lays eggs!
Hades: wait wait dude. Give it. Give it poison. Make it poisonous
Athena: You mean venomous, and make sure the eggs have both reptile and bird traits. Hermes: *takes the joint* Give it extra senses. Poseidon: It should be aquatic.
I MEAN where’s the lie
Demeter: … And where exactly do you expect me to put this? Everyone: Australia.
Reblogging for that last exchange.

this whole vsco girl meme has really been bothering me and i think i figured out why
for some reason we take any trend young girls start doing it and categorize it and then use that to make fun of them. we make fun of pumpkin-spice girls, gamer girls, e-girls, horse girls, vsco girls, whatever-girls and you all know exactly what im talking about and can probably think of other categories yourself
why do we have to make fun of young girls all the time simply for enjoying things? why do we have to reduce them to the material items they enjoy and nothing more? who cares if they laugh a little annoying or like scrunchies or dress a certain way? ya’ll really gonna let men spit on the concrete but bully girls for wearing burks and drinking iced coffee? leave them alone!
If you're over the age of 20 and lost all your teen years to mental illness and never got to be normal, or have healthy relationships, went down the wrong path or didn't have the right nurturing support from BOTH your parents and now you have to sort of catch up on your life whether that's getting your license, getting your GED, starting college, fixing your mental health, or starting things you told yourself to start or try again and again no matter what it is, and trying to fight to live and accomplish shit you FEEL you should have accomplished as a teenager but didn't have the capacity or insight to care about due to mental illness.
I am so incredibly sorry, and I'm thankful you're here and alive and trying!!! also;
You are N O T a failure you took your time because you couldn't put more on yourself than you could bare to carry and that is a mark of self care so don't ever feel bad about it.
I am so fucking proud of you, you're trying your hardest to get to the top even though it may be harder now, you could have given up but you haven't and for that you are victorious and I am in awe of you.
Maeve Wiley
PHYSICAL
DISCLAMER: Maeve Wiley is portrayed by Emma Mackey who is a beautiful actress, but we’re all beautiful in our own way and i’m not here to tell anyone to change their appearance to fit what Maeve looks like because you are you, so you do you.
i will try my best to help you to apply everything i say to yourself to allow you to achieve the most Maeve-likeness while still being authentic.
HAIR
Maeve’s hair is always shiny and well taken care of even though she dyes it a lot and has bleached it which takes a lot out of your hair (trust me i know, don’t bleach your hair unless you can cut off the fucked up parts, because there will be fucked up parts.) keep your hair well conditioned and trim it regularly.
as far as i can tell Maeve wears her hair in its natural texture which is straight with some light waves.
in season one Maeve has her famous bleach blonde hair with pink tips. i personally loved this style and i think that in the beginning it was able to carry over her bad girl vibe without us even knowing anything about her character. if you’re still in school or in a job like myself and are under the scrutiny of the rules then bleaching your hair with pink tips is not an option but if you are able, i think that doing something this crazy with your hair may be a good statement of change.
in season 2 once we know her better and are able to see that she’s in fact not the stereotypical bad girl she’s painted to be by her peers and appearance, she dyes her hair back to what i’m assuming is her natural hair color, chocolate brown (as a symbol of her turing over a new leaf). wearing your hair natural could in fact be just as big a statement as dying it a crazy color, it shows confidence and your ablility to be yourself.
Maeve always has her hair styled when she goes out, not extravagantly, but she puts in effort to make herself look groomed. she opts for a more extravagant style when she goes out.
MAKEUP
Maeve has an edgy makeup style. if you keep that as your guideline, you can’t go wrong.
Maeve has beautiful features, her eyes in my opinion being the most prominent feature of all. she highlights them with dark eye makeup. find your best feature and highlight it.
contour, Maeve never takes it overboard but she makes sure to make her jaw and cheekbones pop.
dark neutral toned lipstick is a occasional touch that she adds.
CLOTHES AND ACCESSORIES
Maeve has a grungy masculine feminine style. balance is key.
Maeve doesn’t care about what people think about her clothes. in season two during a flashback she tells her friends about how she was catcalled and how a woman told her that it was her fault because her shorts were too short so what did she do? cut them shorter, because fuck them.
a few essentials:
leather jacket
flannel
denim jacket
shorts and short skirts
oversized sweaters
rings
blazer
fishnets
edgy dresses
bangles
NOSE RING(FAKE/REAL)!!!!!
layered necklaces
minimal hoop earrings
sneakers
boots. Doctor Martens are the pair i believe she has and are a good investment as they are really good quality and most likely will last you a really long time.
SOCIAL
Maeve is a loner. she picks her inner circle with much care.
she can take care of herself. she has taken care of herself for most of her life and has become completely independent.
maeve is witty and cunning. she knows how to read people and push their buttons.
she doesn’t talk unless she has to. she tries to keep her thoughts to herself this makes her mysterious.
she doesn’t take bullshit from other people. she can stand her ground, but she also knows what’s worth her time and what isn’t.
she knows everything about everyone and she knows how to use it to get what she wants.
she doesn’t trust people easily, because she feels they always let her down. this is why she seems emotionally closed off for majority of season 1 and we only really get the jist of her in season 2.
she doesn’t have interest in boyfriends. she eventually gives into having one when Jackson trucks her into believing he liked the things she did, but she was just dissapointed in the end.
she can party. she knows how to have fun and be spontaneous.
she has compassion for other people. she tries to help as far as she’s able to even when she doesn’t like who she’s dealing with.
INTELLECTUAL
Maeve is a reader. she loves female writers and books that mean something and are more than just stories.
she’s actually really good at school and as she begins to see her potential after being accepted into the aptitude scheme at school it becomes important to her.
Maeve is business savvy. she is able to support herself as a 17 year old student, she also ran the clinic with Otis and they ended up doing extremely well. She also stole that bottle of alcohol from the store because she couldn’t afford much at the time but in my opinion this is clever for someone in her situation (stealing isn’t okay though.)
Maeve is opinionated about things. she asks questions and doesn’t just accept what she’s told. she actually processes the information and comes to her own conclusions.
Maeve is headstrong and doesn’t let much get to her, and when things do, she knows how to handle them.
Maeve is a feminist. she believes that women are to be empowered in society and i think this is also a part of what leads her to be so independent.
Maeve Wiley is an amazing character and i truly love her a lot. but she really is an advocate for doing your own thing and being yourself from my perspective. so embrace who you are and you can already be more like Maeve by doing something as simple as that!
please add me on snap! i want more friends 🥺🥺 @asxxly
