Dear Mickey Moo Mouse,
Yes baby girl, that is your nickname. Mickey is mainly from your daddy – who calls you Mickey Mouse. Mickey Moo – is from your Ninang JenJen who just somehow called you that and so your other Ninang Ning started to call you that. I’m not sure if I said this before but your dad use to sing this “song” to you while you were little – recently he doesn’t do it as much but the song goes like this:
Mickey Mouse
Had a house
Donald Duck
Messed it up.
Yes, that is how the song goes. So I sing it to hear and there, but I did learn that you love music. You fall asleep to this CD (which I hope CDs are still around when you get older, if not you will probably have to ask someone what that is) that is instrumentals and plays hits like Coldplay, Edwain McCain, Michelle Branch, John Mayer, and more. At first I enjoyed the CD, but after awhile it does get annoying and your dad did mention we need to get you a new CD. So we will soon and when we do I will let you know how long that last.
So you are recently 6 months old!! Yay!! My baby girl is 6 months and halfway there to be 1. It’s bittersweet because I would enjoy you to grow up and watch you become the wonderful girl you are, but I don’t want you to grow up so fast. I honestly know how fast it goes because Ninang JenJen was once my sidekick and would be by my side everywhere I went, and then the next minute I rarely saw her. I also know that when I look at old pictures with Grandma and see me hugging her I realize now as a woman I rarely hug Grandma and I take those days for granted.
So I want you to know please do no take anything for granted and be grateful that you do have clothes on your back, a roof over your head, food in your stomach, medical care for when you are sick, a family that loves you, and everything else that surrounds you. Because there are plenty of people out there that don’t have more than half of what you have. Please also help those in need, but do not allow them to take advantage of you. Lend out your hand to help them, but know that many need guidance not someone to boss around. Also, do not ask too much from others or expect them to do anything for you. If you want something done, YOU GET IT DONE – that’s when you know it’s right.
Well this month, you are seriously starting to roll over more. From tummy to back, but you do cry when you are on your tummy after awhile just because you are LAZY. Hehe, even the doctor said you are lazy because YOU DO NOT HOLD YOUR OWN BOTTLE. There are times when you will hold your bottle, but most of the time you will hold it for maybe 10 seconds, let it drop, cry until someone puts it in your mouth, and then just sit there. You are little MISS PRINCESSA. Also you have this new thing while you are laying down you will scoot backwards? or I guess you can say UP? .. You do that a lot in your crib and will hit your head on the side. Hopefully soon you will learn how to roll over and then crawl. By then you will be able to sleep easier. Hopefully.
You also have this new thing of STICKING OUT YOUR TONGUE, I believe it’s because you are teething and you like the feeling of you gums, but I think it’s just adorable so you can keep doing it. I just don’t like it when you make “raspberries” – it’s when you make bubbles with your spit. But it’s cute just messy. Oh there are so much that has happened this last month, and you are growing up so fast.
I love you so much and I hope that you know daddy really does. He really does anything for you and will ask you things like “Should I sell my ruckus?” and if you make a noise or smile he says that means yes. You are a daddy’s girl, but when it comes to being hungry or sleepy I think you run to me because I am more cushiony. But I know that you love us both. However, daddy will argue that you love him more, which I am fine with because I am a daddy’s girl too.
Love you always,
Mommy
