*a woman steps out of the carriage, dressed in royal gold and red fabrics and makes her way up to the palace doors, she takes a minute and then knocks, a veil covering her face* *when the door is answered she asks to speak with the countess and gets escorted to a parlor room where she sits* hello Countess, pardon me for the intrusion but I came to see you. I have heard of you from far away and I wanted to see for myself of your beauty. Oh excuse me. My name is Ra Ma'at. From Egypt.
Sitting by the window of her room the countess let sunlight fall upon her skin, enjoying the little bit of free time she was able to get. The sudden guest was.. bothersome to say at least. Would it be a foreigner? Maybe a messenger. Either way to come unannounced gave the countess little bit of worry for nothing was prepared to host someone.
What surprise was she met with when as a reason for visit the woman stated a wish to gaze upon Nadia's beauty. And she was almost impressed. To take upon such a long journey just to see a single person, are they countess or not. It sounded little foolish but who was she to judge that. If anything, it was a compliment she had no intention shooting down.
"Welcome, Ra Ma'at. I do hope the roads have treated you kindly on your long journey. " She sipped from the glass of wine calmly as she watched her guest carefully, calmly looking her up and down. " As for the purpose of your visit, I do fear words that spread about my beauty are fairly overrated. "
Ra smiled softly at her and laughed. "Well yes that is one reason why I came but there is another. A more pressing matter to say the least. I oame from the desert, you see, and I wanted some advice on how to.provide more water for the people. We have a river but sometimes it takes days to get water for everyone. That's my real reason for coming here. I wanted your help. I'm a young ruler so I'm not as experienced as you my countess."
Ra looked at the countess directly in her eyes and held.her gaze, trying to look as soft as possible. She really did need help, she was so frustrated with having to do most of the stuff by herself.
:I understand my arrival was unplanned but I was a bit in a panic." Ra fiddled with her hands.
"Any advice or help will be most appreciated." Ra came over slowly and got on her knees in front of the countess, showing she was dead serious.
"Will you help me?"
The countess watched her move calmly until the point she kneeled Infront of her and only the put her glass away, reaching out to push her chin up just a bit " Don't be ridiculous and get up from the ground now. If you're in need of my help I will be more than happier to provide it." She got up from her chair, two servants already taking the plate where she had her small snack away. The countess had work to do.
"Water delivery is a pushy subject always. You need to ensure not only quick transport but also safe and hygienic one. " She spoke quietly, gesturing for her guest to follow her.
"As for the unplanned visit, it's more like matter of not being prepared, but it won't be a problem. Considering my schedule and importance of the problem it might take a day or two until we get to a full solution. I'll have a chamber prepared for you in the meantime"
Ra got up quickly, blushing a bit from the command and walked beside the countess. " thank you so much for your help countess it really is an honor. In the meantime, is there anywhere I could take a bath? I really need to wash off." Ra smiled softly at the countess. She knows she is a busy woman and doesnt want to waste any of her time anymore than she has. So a couple of days and she will be out of her hair.!
" You are free to use my personal bath. One of the servants will guide you there and provide you with whatever you might need as well as show you to your chambers" She gestured to the side and young girl ran up to the two women, ready to lead Ra away.
"in the meantime I have business to attend, but rest assured I will settle things with you today to make sure you are comfortable" she explained with a nod before another servant followed her away. The court called
