Gil Update!!! 2

((Finally!! And it also seems that Gil is a she! She popped out sometime this morning, her wings are pumped up and almost ready, she’s even started flapping them. I collected some flowers for her so she can start fueling up before her release, though I’ll keep checking the weather since it’s supposed to rain today. She’s really something 😍 I took a photo of her when I first got up around 8:45am and now look at her! 2hrs later and her wings have almost doubled! And she’s got a lot more energy now 😭 they grow up so fast))

Gil update!!

((Gilbert’s getting ready!! 😊 I’m so excited, he’s almost ready to emerge, just a little longer. He’s been moved to a larger container so that his wings have space to pump up, or else they’ll wrinkle and he won’t be able to fly. He’s doing so great, I’m both excited and sad to let him go soon. His chrysalis is becoming more and more transparent, soon I’ll be able to completely see his wings and that’s about when he’ll make his grand entrance))

((On a more sad note, my baby (not an actual baby, she’s a dwarf hamster), Mavis, passed away Friday evening, I found her dead when I came home so needless to say, I haven’t had much sleep. I suspected she was going downhill for a little while now but even then, it hit hard. ))
