Okay so I just got off the phone with them. I talked to a trans girl named Aurora & she was super helpful! She gave me a few doctors to talk to & encouraged me to seek therapy instead of just rushing to get my pills. She literally found a trans friendly therapist in my town & I would definitely recommend giving them a call!

But I have some news, good and bad~
So first, I recently saved up enough money for a Switch Lite(turquoise :) ) I’m hella happy about that oh and I got Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Second, I’ve recently(about six months ago) moved back in with my dad and my step momma, now that is good news but the bad half of that is that my uncle(ab**er) is living upstairs and he’s been home for the past couple weeks due to the CV that’s going around, so now I can hear his fucking footsteps walking/stomping around upstairs
Thirdly, my dad has been home recently so that’s fucking A M A Z I N G!!
I think that’s pretty much it for tonight, I’ll edit it tomorrow!!

the problems with self-diagnosis
No, self-diagnosis is not valid. Here’s why!
> You are not a licensed professional. You have not undergone the training required to diagnose mental illness.
> Taking an online test does not equal a diagnosis.
> It makes those who have been properly diagnosed look bad.
> Telling people you have depression to make yourself look #different and #quirky is a disgrace to people like me who have mental illnesses and are absolutely fucking miserable because of it.
> Insisting that you need therapy for a fake diagnosis is morally wrong and a waste of your guardian’s hard-earned money. Being mentally ill is expensive as fuck. My parents work their asses off to be able to cover the cost of multiple therapists and a shit ton of medication.
> pretending you have schizophrenia doesn’t make you cool. pretending to have PTSD doesn’t make you cool. pretending to c*t yourself doesn’t make you cool. MENTAL ILLNESS IS NOT A JOKE.
The bottom line is if you think you genuinely have something wrong, GET A DIAGNOSIS!
Advice for Triggers/Trauma
People have different sets of traumas and triggers. Some people are triggered by showers. Some by hospitals. Some by certain things like jello or bikes or buttons or certain sounds or many other things.
This is not funny. This is serious. Take these things seriously.
When someone tells you that this certain thing triggers them or caused them trauma or is part of their trauma. They are trusting you enough to tell you so they make sure you know and can help them when they are dealing with certain things.
Listen to them. Ask them how to help. Don’t be an asshole and tease them or I and many others will kick you in your fucking teeth.
