So uh.... hey at least Mr Sun, Mr Tree (?) And Fun computer survived in the end so..... uhhhh.... maybe yayyyyy?????????
Unfortunately I think Mr. Sun was the only one of those three who actually survived </3 Mr. Tree was killed by the lightning strike at the start of Act 2, and Mr. Fun Computer had his hard drive destroyed a little while after his shutdown (See the list of Act 3 deaths in the remainder part 2). To be fair though, it's very hard to figure out how to kill the actual literal sun
Everything that I had for the tome was written there! I don't have any drawings done for the remaining characters unfortunately. I may end up doing them in the future, though, depending on how the mood strikes me
with acadia gone, is there any other stories abt sprunki you'd reccommend?
Hmmm I actually haven't been keeping up with sprunki stories recently, so I don't know a lot, but I've been enjoying @whatasprunkicomic! A couple of my moots run @ask-mfc and @sandy-sprunki (though idk if this one is active anymore). They all have some pretty cool ideas! Anyone's free to rb with some they like too
Dude I'm not gonna lie, I think Wenda's death in ask acadia would've legit destroyed me if the blog ever finished- Plus I get the feeling that your plan would've not involved any sorts of revival, so uh... okay i didn't really think about how to conclude this, lol-
It definitely wouldn’t have lol- but yeah, thank you!! One of my top goals with Acadia was making the sprunki worth caring about and I’m glad it worked :]
Also I should mention, you’re still allowed to send asks to @ask-acadia! The askbox is open, it’s just that I’ll answer rather than the characters
The Tome of the Dead has been updated one final time! All the characters' names and death taglines have been revealed.
I've also changed the theme of the blog :] This theme was meant to be the one used for act 3, and the pfp would've changed at the end to reflect what it is now.

Hey folks! It's time for part 2 of the remainder :] This part includes the ending of the story. I hope you enjoy.
---
Returning to Jevin, we see him headed back to Soliloquy, completely unfocused. The town of Soliloquy itself is incredibly quiet. He searches for the priest, then for anyone, hoping he can be saved before it's too late, but he finds no one there. Surely this means he's too late - has the Voice taken them all? Has he been left here for his abandonment?
Then he sees something as he rounds the corner to the church. One sprunki, laid on their side, facing the door. Concerned, Jevin goes to get their attention, but when he turns them around… their throat is cut. They've bled out into the earth below. Jevin should've noticed the red soil was redder this time… except… there's much more blood coming through the cracks in the church's door. More than one sprunki alone can let.
Jevin blindly stumbles back as despair overwhelms him. Ah. So it really wasn't real, was it? All this time, he'd been living a lie. Numbly, he returns to Orchestra. The sight of Sky laying dead only drives stakes into his heart, and as he passes Tunner's dead body, he completely shuts down. He closes himself away in a back room, never to exit.
Around this time, Pinki and Oren are packing up to leave when Oren realizes he's forgotten something outside the house. He leaves, and Pinki goes back to packing, but turns around to see Wenda outside the window. Distrustful of her, Pinki refuses to let her in. Wenda acts hurt by this, scratching at the door. She just wants to talk! Please?
As expected, this doesn't go well. In a confrontation, Wenda attacks Pinki, and goes right for the eyes.
Once again, this wound was absolutely not survivable in canon, so I played around with designs and eventually came up with this one!
(Note: This design is an older one from the early days of Acadia - this canvas was created in early February 2025 and the canon designs came out in early June 2025 - and is missing a couple things! This design isn't finalized either, so it may have been different had we gotten here today!)
Oren comes home to Pinki writhing on the floor and a trail of blood droplets leading out the door. He has to act quickly to patch her up.
This is the point of least development, so past here, we're doing bullet points!
-Not long after this, Pinki goes blind, having lost her eyelids in the scuffle.
-Forced to flee their home by a massive earthquake (one started partially by Bitter), Oren and Pinki end up in Ocarina Heights. Oren takes it upon himself to serve as Pinki’s guide. Oren is ultimately killed for this when Wenda eviscerates him, leaving Pinki to listen helplessly, as she has gone blind at this point.
-When Gray goes to the lab, he finds it locked. He is unable to get Fun Bot to let him inside, as MFC has disallowed any entry or exits. Fun Bot tries to give them some pointers on what's going on, but unfortunately has very little information, except that all the plants are dying slowly.
We come again to Vineria, who hasn't been feeling too well lately. It turns out that when Bitter came in for a conversation, he dropped a seed into Vineria's drink. When she ingested it, it did not die, but instead took root and began to grow. The writing for this one was done in a beta sense, and is probably one of the more gruesome ones, so I'll leave it under a cut.
(Vineria coughs.) OWAKCX? Could you come down for a sec? I’m not feeling go- (she is cut off by coughing again. She frowns when it passes and comes to the stairs.) OWAKCX? Hrk- (She spits something onto her hand. When she looks, she sees a leaf. Panic rises in her expression.) OWAKCX?! (She cringes in immense pain as the space around her eyes browns, then yells more desperately.) OWAKCX! OWAKCX, SOMETHING’S WRONG WITH ME! CALL AN AMBULANCE! (coughing, choking. Vineria falls to the floor. Cut to a panel of a dead and rotting OWAKCX.) OWAKCX, PLEASE… OWAAAAKCX!” CAPTION: Untidy lime tree holding tight to the end of my last garden… (Vashti Bunyan - Against the Sky) [VINERIA is no longer accepting asks.]
-Wenda proceeds to haunt Ocarina heights, and eventually ends up hunting for Gray when he returns.
-Gray, hiding from another threat, hears Wenda in the area. She scrapes her knife along surfaces, calling for him; it’s very overstimulating for Gray. When the noise fades, Gray assumes she’s gone after waiting for a bit, but she has actually found him and is waiting just out of sight to attack. (Note: This point is one I've had written down since the beginning! I actually intended to make use of her knack for parkour in this sequence, involving some kind of chase.)
As Gray runs, Wenda swears she'll track him down. This is a theme that not only opens Act 3, but continues throughout it.
Act 3, speaking of, is actually the one I had almost no planning for. I have some, and I'll go into them here, but none that are concrete compared to the rest of the story.
Bitter was at some point meant to have his campout spots revealed, so I'll go ahead and say it here: he alternates between living in the wreckage of Tempo, the Copperbell forest, and Wenda’s house. Wenda knows he has nowhere to live - and she likes him - so she allows it. The location of his campsite in Copperbell was not only shown at the beginning of Act 2, but it's visible as a darker patch on the town map.
Act 3 was meant to detail the deaths of the remaining survivors. There was never going to be anyone saved, no revivals and no happy ending. Everyone was supposed to die. I kept it so closely guarded because I had seen so many AUs where they made it out somehow, and I wanted to diverge from that in a true horror movie fashion. Those deaths appear to be the only things I wrote out, so they're below.
Abnormals: Could no longer take care of themselves. Starved or died of dehydration once food sources ran dry. Simon in particular was found by Black in a dying state and had his head crushed as an act of mercy.
Pinki: Infection. Bandages came off or got too dirty after Oren died.
Brud: Head injury. Brud couldn’t take care of himself without Durple or Vineria, and when wandering off on his own he slipped and fell into a river. He would have survived had he been able to swim.
Fun Bot: Ran out of battery. Generator reserves expired. (Note: If anyone remembers my short-lived Fun Bot blog, the basis for that came from a "what-if" scenario where he was recharged!)
MFC: Overgrown. Hard drive destroyed by a starving Simon.
Jevin: Dehydration, locked in the backroom of Tunner’s office.
Gray: Blunt impact. Could not fend for himself when trying to fight Bitter and Wenda, had his head smashed on a rock.
Wenda: Betrayed by Bitter. Killed with her own knife while gloating over her victories.
When Bitter was the only one left, asks would've opened for him to answer. (I'm sorry to lead you on for so long!!) The hope was that he would have to answer for his crimes in a solemn and disparate closure to the asking portion of the world. Then, when I felt enough time had passed, he would've died too, unable to sustain himself for long. He was meant to have a monologue, detailing how he had finally won. He had achieved what he sought: true reform. A world wiped to start over, nothing left to see what had come before. Not even him. Perfect and eternal persistence. As he bares those final thoughts to the world, he drops dead. It was also somewhat meant to nod to the SCP tale "The Inevitable End of All But Me."
In an ask I received after Act 2 began, I was told that the pendant Gray has is one that's able to contain souls. I assume this was intended to be used to revive the dead, but I intended to make Gray uncertain of how to use it. One draft actually involved him containing a few of the dead's souls, but losing or breaking the pendant in his final struggle. I wasn't sure whether or not I should do this, so don't take it as canon, but when Bitter died, I intended to reveal that Gray's soul was bound to the world, unable to fully die and forced to wander the wastelands alone.
So, that's Acadia! Turns out I did finish it after all. I'm sorry it wasn't in comic form, and it took so long for me to write this out. I still hadn't structured everything right, after all, and I had six documents involved in creating Acadia and getting it to how it is now. One of them is a collection of writings that never made it past the cutting room floor, if you guys are interested in that!
As before, asks will remain open for mod-only question answering. I'm also going to be updating the Tome of the Dead with the rest of the characters' names and taglines as soon as this is posted. Once asks run dry, I'll make one final post and then close them permanently. The blog will be archived after that, though I may still reblog stuff from time to time! I hope you guys enjoyed what I have of the story. A year and a half in the making, and we finally made it. That's all, folks. I hope to see you around.
Hey folks! It's time for part 1 of the remainder. This part is probably the longest of a pair of scenes, since the scenes themselves are the most fleshed-out. There's actually a TON of story left - I think we were about halfway through Act 2 by the time I stopped writing.
I won't make you read through a long preamble, so here's part 1!
-----
Leaving off on the story of the Fun Gang, we return to Gray, who has been wandering while we were away. He hasn't felt the need to forage for anything yet, and quite frankly doesn't have many survival skills, so he's mostly just getting to know his terrain. At the call of the askers, he goes to find Fun Bot, but gets turned around in the process and ends up at the mouth of a cave. Inside, he can hear a familiar stuttering, one he's really only heard from across the street in Orchestra.
I actually did write this bit out, as it was meant to be in a comic form! So here's your sneak peek into how I script my comics:
(Gray, led to the cave by the askers, finds brud there. brud looks back at him and smiles, though his nerves are apparent by his expression. In the background: show simon's dialogue as he creeps closer. "i'm so hungry- when did i- oh oh oh- hello there you) o-oh! y-y-you're the one they said was gonna sa-a-a-ave me! brud w-waited for you here just like he pro-promised. (Show Simon, huge and looming above him, with his mouth hanging open.) bru-ud won't cause trouble, he swears.
I promise I'm a professional <3
Anyways!
Obviously, this does not end well for brud, who gets part of his head bitten off as the story goes. This wound was clearly not survivable canonically, so instead of breaking the skull, it looks more like this:
Simon choking on Brud's bucket was the only thing that helped them both escape. Distraught by brud's agonized cries, Gray tries to coax him to calm down - when he does, Gray helps him stand, letting brud lean on his shoulder as they move. Gray is afraid to head into town again, but he knows there's no other place to go for miles, so he brings brud to the lab.
At this point we come back to Vineria, who now appears more tired than nervous. Now she has to formulate a plan, right? She has to get out of this somehow. Surely Bitter knows that she's not in on it, if she's disappeared for this long. She has to come up with something-
(Vineria pauses as she hears a knock on the door. She goes to look through her peephole. A long moment passes, and then Vineria turns around and faces OWAKCX.) OWAKCX, I need you to go upstairs to your room. Don't come out until I tell you to, okay? (OWAKCX nods and goes back upstairs. Vineria opens the door to Bitter, who stands blank-faced there.) Hey there, stranger.
B: May I speak to you inside?
The conversation that follows is tense and full of guarded wording on one side, and thoughtful observance on the other.
Vineria spared one glance over her shoulder before she let Bitter inside.
Noticing her tension, Bitter moved to reassure her. "There's no need for any fear, dear. I simply want to discuss some things with you."
"What sort of things?"
"I was made aware of your disappearance when I returned to the town square several hours ago. I had expected to find you in Tempo, but you were absent there, too."
Vineria froze, unable to respond. Bitter turned an intense gaze on her, though from the outside his expression hadn't shifted.
"I- um-"
Bitter sighed deeply, cutting off her frantic search for an explanation. "As I said, there is no cause for alarm. If it would make you more comfortable, we can share a drink. You still have some of the whiskey we had a few weeks ago, don't you?"
"Was…" Vineria shot a glance at the kitchen. "Was that one that you liked?"
"It was."
"Then I guess I can get us some…"
Maybe a drink would make this easier on her. Vineria went into the kitchen, and Bitter followed, much to her relief.
When drinks were poured, she let Bitter take his, and then they were sitting at her small kitchen table. To her, it felt as if a spotlight was shining on her head, the heat burning into her skull. But Bitter looked calm, as if this were an everyday conversation.
"Now," Bitter began, leaning on one elbow like he always did. "It has come to my attention that you may be having second thoughts about this operation we are running. Has something been troubling you?"
Vineria fidgeted with the rim of her glass. "No, not really. It's just… this isn’t what you promised. You promised reform and new life… but then Raddy went missing, and-"
"And I understand your disappointment. It is true that there has been some death involved in this plan, but you were prepared for that. Was the idea not to remove the cruel hearts of the world?"
"...It was… but it's just… different, I guess, seeing it in person." Vineria hung her head, quiet. "What about their loved ones, you know? The people that cared about them?"
Bitter's response was quick and sharp. "There is no justice with them. Their hearts sympathize with the wicked. If those sprunki are the kind that cloud your judgment, perhaps you should reconsider your own values."
Vineria leaned back, offended. "My values are just fine. I think watching a kid lose their best friend is bad and that's it."
Slowly, Bitter stood. Vineria locked eyes with him as he slid around the table, flicking his wrist up and over it as if to flick off dust. His hand passed like a shadow over her drink as he passed behind her, leaning down over her shoulder. "I understand. You no longer wish to be a part of this plan."
"Maybe I don't."
"Very well," Bitter replied. "Then I shall take my leave. Thank you for your time."
Abruptly he stood, and then he was gone, his drink largely untouched. Vineria waited several moments after the door clicked shut, then picked up her own, looking down at it. A thought furrowed her brow.
She swirled the glass once, then downed it in one swig, sighing. As she leaned her head against the chair, relief washed months of shadows off her shoulders. She couldn't help but feel like maybe, in this moment, she did the right thing.
This is related to my last ask, but I figured I would put it in a different ask since it's a different question. Would you be okay with someone (me) using Acadia's version of Tunner (or any of the cast, really) in a fanfic or some other fanwork? I can tell you about the fanfic I have in mind if that's relevant to your answer.
Sure!! I've always loved fanwork of any kind :D You're totally free to tell me about it if you want, or when it's done you can tag me with a link, or both!
How exactly do you make the speech bubbles for Acadia? Like, what font do you use and whatnot?
The font was a custom font I made out of my own handwriting! I won't be sharing it publicly, partially because it's unfinished.
I threw together a VERY quick tutorial on Firealpaca (not my main art program, you'll see </3) for the speech bubbles!
Pretty much what I did was write the font out in the places I wanted it to be (usually after the sketch, but it's better to do it while thumbnailing):
Then I drew a speech bubble around the font:
Then drew another line to the character, making sure it goes through the speech bubble a bit! I colored it with a layer underneath, often with the rest of the coloring:
Garnold's breath came in labored gasps. His body squeezed tighter and tighter, like a snake encircling its prey. He could feel cold metal through the weak insulation. Dull clicking spun around his head. Sweat trickled across his palms.
It was a long, long moment before Garnold had the power to speak again. "Clukr," he whispered, barely coherent. "Clukr, come on, you gotta-" haah, hhh- "We have to- we were going to fix this, we were so close, and you- you-"
Suddenly he lurched forward, clutching his chest. A scream tore from his throat, ragged, scratching up what little voice he had left. Wet tears began to stream down his face, and he curled into himself, gnashing his teeth together as if breaking them would bring back his- his- oh sweet stars, what was Clukr to him? Those mellow eyes held such sweetness only for him, on those silent nights where it was just the two of them, sharing a space while their children were off playing in the town. Peace would settle into their scales and into their fur, and Garnold could only long to reach out and touch the hand of someone who he had always…
The suit.
A jolt of panic cut through Garnold's heart as the clicking got louder. He had been so focused that he hadn't thought to check the springlocks earlier. His hands flew behind his head to find the release switches. Tick-tick-tick-THOK. A louder click made his helmet's back split open. Firmly he grabbed ahold of the sides of the helmet, tugging it up and-
The Tome of the Dead has been updated.

Hi everyone! Wouldn't this have been a wonderful place for me to stop working on Acadia? Fortunately, I moved on a bit from this point, so I do have a bit more to share, though this is where the writing stops. But I will tell you what happens next!
Cutting away from this gruesome scene, Fun Bot has been listening in for a while. The screaming paralyzed his systems for a long moment, but now that it has quieted down, he feels safe enough to poke his head out of the room. What he sees makes him think that maybe he should've stayed in that side room after all.
His creator, writhing in front of him, unable to speak through the rods piercing his throat. What is he supposed to do? Dread overwhelms him, and his first thought is to get help. So, naturally... (Note: This is where I was unable to finish drawing the scenes.)
...Fun Bot runs away, the last thing Garnold sees in the fleeting moment before the light fades from his eyes.
His flight takes him to Mr. Fun Computer's chamber, where Mr. Fun Computer asks what's going on, unable to see for himself. Frazzled, Fun Bot can barely speak, but he tries anyway:
"I'm scared, Fun Computer... I don't know what to do. They're not moving anymore..."
Mr. Fun Computer, his hardware much older than Fun Bot's, does not have the capacity to handle strong emotions, try as their co-creators might've to fix it. So while he wants to help, the shock of his dads dying freezes his systems entirely, and he shorts out, leaving Fun Bot alone. Before he shuts down, he manages to place a lockdown on the lab. Now, no one can be hurt... right?
That marks the end of this post. Asks from this point on are open, though I would like to remind you that they're mod-only now! I'll be going over the plans I had for the rest of the story (or at least some of them; I might have to split it into multiple parts bc the writing is still fun) in the next post I make.
Hi, long time no see again! I come bearing bad news, as I’m sure you’ve noticed the lack of posts. I’ve kind of lost my drive to finish Acadia - I still love the story, but I can’t ever bring myself to sit down and finish it.
So, I am unfortunately cancelling Acadia. I will offer you all this:
-Asks will open for questions again, but will be mod-only, and characters will no longer be askable. This means behind-the-scenes stuff is also available!
-I will share some posts from the cutting room floor or my drafts - stuff that I cut for one reason or another. Asks will also be allowed about those, but they are mostly non-canon.
-I will give you all my last bit of writing covering Garnold’s death and finish the whole post, and then in another post go over the rest of the story that I had laid out, so you guys get to finally know how it was supposed to end.
I may draw them from time to time on my main blog, @airy-was-heree, but I won’t be doing anything more with them here. Once the last post is out, the askbox will stay open, but the blog will be largely archived as planned. The theme will also be changed to reflect how it would’ve looked at the end of the story.
I’m sorry I have to do this since I had you all wait so long, but it was unfortunately inevitable at this point. Please be respectful in my inbox.
