Final Fantasy XV’s DLC Order Explained; Episode Ignis Will Be Last Due to Story Impact

If you have been wondering why Final Fantasy XV’s Episode Ignis DLC will come last among the three “bros,” Hajime Tabata revealed the reason.

When Square Enix announced the release date of Final Fantasy XV‘s DLCs Episode Gladio and the release window for Episode Prompto, many were surprised by the fact that Episode Ignis was left for last.

Director Hajime Tabata told DualShockers the reason for the order of the episodes dedicated to the three “bros” during a recent conversation at Square Enix’s headquarters in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

Turns out that Episode Gladio has always been planned as the first DLC, as the team intends to deliver enhanced action battle game play for it.

On the other hand, they have been debating internally on which one among Prompto and Ignis should come second. Ultimately, they opted to have Ignis as the protagonist of the last of the bro-focused DLCs, because what happens in his episode has a large impact on the story of Final Fantasy XV, and they want to have the time to create a really solid experience, pretty much keeping the best for last. 

(They’re going to make us suffer with Episode Prompto, and then finish the job with Episode Ignis aren’t they?)

FINAL FANTASY XV AU

me and my cousin come up with the best ffxv AU. an AU where Gladiolous and Ignis are parents to Noctis and Prompto and raise them since they were young todlers.

OR

everything in FFXV is the same but one day there was some magic mistake on Prompto and Noctis accidentally turn into toddlers. Gladio and Ignis try to figure out how to turn them back into adults and find out the spell will end in two moths and turn back into adults and into normal. so Gladio and Ignis and have to take care of the kid Noct and Prompt for two months and watch them grownwith many ups and downs.

so instead of Final Fantasy XV we call it…Final Fantasy PARENTHOOD

mom, where...where do babies come from?? I've had this question on my mind all my life and every time I ask people, and even Noct; THEY WONT TELL ME.

Well Prompto, you’re asking some very serious, yet random, questions all of a sudden. I don’t know why people don’t answer you when you ask this question. Babies come from a mother, you see, a female to be exact. I don’t want you getting mixed up, thinking that I can make babies.

Noct, can you not complain and start eating your vegetables. I’ve already graced you with no beans, so please don’t be picky and eat. You wont grow strong, if you don’t eat your vegetables. Just look at Gladdy, he’s strong because he ate his vegetables. Prompto ate his vegetables, and he’s pretty nimble on his feet. You can’t survive with only meat Noct.

Hey again! Ok.. what if me and noct turned into babies. How would you and Gladio take care of us? Lol

Prompto, are you okay? You’re asking a lot of questions lately, you must be bored. To answer your question, if you and Noctis were magically turned into babies, then I would technically be a “mother” in this situation. I would usually do what I’ve been doing already, which would be cooking, cleaning, decision making, and ect. but times two, since you guys wont be able to talk or do things you would normally do. Gladdy would possibly be a caretaker, when I’m away, or will be the fun “father” as you guys like to refer him to.
