This is a little post to help with navigation for those that are new to the blog. Ask Team Lightbringers is an ask blog that centers around a pair of bounty hunters on their quest to catch an A rank outlaw. Though the story features other characters, it mainly focuses on Gabriel and Armani.

This is a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon ask blog, meaning the characters will all appear as Pokémon. It is important to note that humans do not exist in this world and asks cannot come from them. Asks must come from Pokémon or anons otherwise they will be ignored.

This blog is a sideblog run by @noblejanobii​  so all follows and most asks will come from that account. I also run a couple other ask blogs, as well as a comic, so I ask for your patience in responses.

This post also acts as a permanent ask call. If you want an ask from this blog, please either reply or reblog this post. I’ll get to it in a timely manner. (@ask-teamlightbringers) Armani carefully inspected Nema, giving the Sinistea as much space as needed to ensure she did not feel crowded. "Oh... oh you poor dear. How long have you been awake like this? You must be terrified. I remember I was when I... when I went through this for the first time." They lifted their mask a little to indicate their similar fate. "This body... it is very different from the one you were in before. How are you adjusting? It took me quite a while to be used to moving without legs."

Nema could only remember being cold. She was woken up by a harsh breeze that tore through Giant Chasm. It looked... a lot different than she remembered it. The wound in the wall behind her for instance...

No, wait... She remembers. It's where those other Pokemon pushed Kappa back. But, what happened after that..?

Nema's eyes wandered down to Armani's mask. She immediately put the pieces together.

[Nema] "This is a thing that happens frequently..? That's awful..."

Nema shook her head. She was surprised to find that her entire body moved with that motion.

"I knew that when Pokemon or Humans died that sometimes they can come back as Ghost-types, but..."

But, I never thought it would happen to me. She didn't finish her sentence.

She looked at Armani's mask again at the mention of legs. At the strange tendril that held it. That must've been their legs at some point.

Nema tried to look down at where her own legs should be, but struggled. Her face was a pattern on a cup. It didn't offer much mobility.

But, she didn't need to see to confirm what she felt. Her entire body was an amorphous mass, and nowhere in it did she feel her legs.

Bit of a Design exercise with the cast of @ask-teamlightbringers

There was a prompt on a forum that asked people to draw their characters as Pokémon, but since my characters are already Pokémon, I drew them as different Pokémon and Neopets.

(ask-teamlightbringers) Armani floats up to Mei and tries to awkwardly strike up a conversation. "So you're a polteageist right? A fellow ghost type...? " they fumble for a moment before quietly asking, "Do you think you could use your ghostly abilities to get more tickets from the arcade games?"

”Yeah, I’m a Polteageist, through and through!” Mei replies proudly. “To be honest I’m surprised you could tell- most people think I’m at least part Cufant when they see me!” He chuckles.

“Oh sh-shoot!” Mei exclaims in response to Armani’s suggestion, quickly correcting herself, noticing the children around. “That’s ingenious- Why didn’t I think of that?!?”

Suddenly, a ghostly hand shoots out of the Pokémon’s nose and reaches towards the closest game.

Heather: It’s good exercise as well.. Keeps me fit and stuff… Plus my therapist says exercise is good for my mental health.. The glameow nervously begins to tap her fingers against her side, eyes flickering around a bit before suddenly changing her tone. Heather: But uh, I’m also able to teach others about how to do Aerial Silk. So if either of you are interested, I could possibly help you out. Hugo: See, he was the first Ghost King to come outta the Kiln, but I was the second. Just as powerful, but an enigma. So he got antsy about that and came to find me on the island I had set up as a base.  Hugo: …it was pretty good timing because I had plans, and I needed better funding. I knew he was loaded from his reputation, so I proposed a deal. I think he was expecting me to be violent or terrible or something because he came in with this haughty guard up but me doing that instead surprised him.

Hugo: so he took me home with him and fed me, we worked out a deal, then he got drunk and started crying to me about his religion and lack of love life and now we’re pretty much best friends. funny how things work out.

Yes, they definitely do. The curse is, bad, yes, but i can live with that. Sometimes the curse is annoying, sometimes it is not.

One benefit is having better luck with attacks such as metronome.

(ask-teamlightbringers) Gabriel @ Teiji: So what exactly is the rate of Gifted, Abnormal, and Defective? Are they particularly rare, like shinies?

Teiji: Not really, Shinies are not rare, at least in here the are not. The Yaga region is known for having a lot of shinies and colour variants, I do not know how rare they are outside because I actually do meet a few sometimes.

If you are comparing rarity, I would say defectives are a bit rarer compared to shinies, they are more like colour variants in rarity, gifteds are particularly rare, rarer than defectives.

The only known gifted individual I have met is Toshi. I know you are going to assume this, so I will just say it now, I suspect that her power is more likely gained through training to near death rather than part of her gift.

Cooper looked at his tail and back up "They really make me stand out. I don't exactly like having dark type blood in me..."

"What exactly do you have against dark types? There's nothing wrong with them, or you for having "dark type blood" in you."

"Since I've been out after our Trainer decided she hates attention, it was mostly Dark Types that have been ganging up on me. I've fainted so many times to them despite being resistant to them. I've been lured, ganged up on, anything you could imagine. The only dark type I trust is Chameleon because he was part of the team. Either way, I haven't seen them pick on any other fighting type when spying on them. I think it's purely because of my tail, so I'm different, I can be spotted in a crowd, but I can't just hide it, it's just as obvious. It's just poor experiences." Cooper rambled "But if a dark type can show me that they're trustworthy, I may not Aura Sphere them. Though some other pokemon don't think I have dark type blood in me at all, and the rings are more like the black stripes Mega Lucario get. Why they think that, they say I'm a bit more 'fight happy' than typical Lucario, whatever that means. I don't believe it, because I'm from Galar and there's no megas there unless they were brought there."

"Oh what a load of Tauros crap. Trauma and bad experiences are no reason to hold a grudge against an entire type."

"I empathize towards you, as no one deserves to be ganged up on, but perhaps you should analyze your own behavior to ensure you aren't provoking them. Spying isn't exactly well received in most communities."

"You claim you won't Aura Sphere a dark-type if they can prove they're trustworthy, but from the comments you've made so far, I doubt any Pokémon could meet your expectations. People like you are the reason the people of my kingdom, the fairies, the ghosts, the darks, you're the reason we have to hide away. Your bias and bigoted behavior perpetuates stereotypes that aren't even true."
