Welcome to the Galar Pokemon Clinic and Shelter! I am Nick and I work as a Pokemon nurse and shelter operator.
Here I’ll post about pokemon clinic life, share what I’ve learned about pokemon behavior, feature pokemon who can be adopted here, and answer questions for people who want to give their pokemon the best quality of life.
These are my current pokemon who help me run the shelter, also occasionally featured in my posts, and their stories:
- Sol (Natu): Met them in the wild 2 years ago and been close ever since. They like to sit-in on appointments as emotional support.
-Stitches (Mimikyu): Adopted him from a local foster specializing in ghost types. Stitches immediately wanted to help around the clinic and he loved being at the shelter so much that I employed him as a full-time team member. He gets a daily salary he uses to buy costume supplies, and now has a collection of 10 different Pokemon disguises, which he accessories with his own signature bow tie. His current favorite is his Charizard outfit.
- Hush (Hatterene): Most humans are hesitant to adopt pokemon species with such infamous reputations, but upon meeting Hush as a Hattrem I immediately adored her. Rescued from a case of abuse and abandonment, Hush was left with physical and mental disabilities that severely limit her access to her psychic and fairy type abilities. Despite her ongoing health issues she’s an affectionate, curious, and energetic Pokemon who’s happily bonded to her life partner, Morgana.
- Morgana (Hatterene): Despite not technically being my pokemon as she considers herself wild, I still include Morgana part of my team. She and Hush met as Hattrems when Morgana saved Hush’s life and, wanting to stay together, I took responsibility for both of them when I initially fostered Hush. The two were inseparable, and became an official bonded pair not long after evolution. Like most Hatterenes, she avoids almost all living beings and instead prefers to remain apart from the shelter.
- Oleander (Morgrem): My very first pokemon whom caught when he was still a small Impidimp. The Grimmsnarl line are not ideal pokemon for first-time trainers given their troublemaking natures, but we’ve grown to become lifelong partners through lots of communication and hard work.
