MEET THE BAND

This is a fan blog for The Gavinners, where I'll also post memes and fan art. Klavier and Daryan are obviously official Ace Attorney characters, but Ivo, Seb, and Rocky are my OCs to fill the roles of missing band members. These characters are developing, but I'm working on a fic including them, so eventually... some day... you'll be able to experience their full character arcs on my AO3.

Tiny bit about me! I'm Imogen, I'm in my 20s, my pronouns are she/her he/him, and I'm a lesbian. If you want to see my art of other AA characters then you can check out my main blog.

Please feel free to send asks about or for any of the band members! This is also a roleplay blog, you can send asks as yourself or as other AA characters (including Daryan and Klavier, but I ask that you please avoid roleplaying as any of my OCs)

Hii! :D do you have any thoughts (headcanons maybe) on Klavier × Daryan??

hiii!!!! :D ty for the ask hehe i have so many thoughts so many headcanons

i think that they've absolutely had feelings for each other when the band started, but more because they were spending every hour of the day together as coworkers AND bandmates. Klavier to me is very fluid in all aspects, but daryan I think has a lot of internalised homophobia/biphobia. he doesn't hate Klavier's (or anyone else's) sexuality or gender, but at the same time has a very "I don't hate gay people but I just don't need to see that shit" outlook. I hc Daryan to have had a latchkey kid type of upbringing, and that his dad was deadbeat so Daryan took it upon himself to be "the man of the house" a d as a result takes stereotypical gender roles very seriously. THAT SAID, I think when daryan met Klavier he began to question those roles, and Klavier was already very comfortable in his identity, so daryan maybe felt safer exploring himself with Klavier? Especially since Klavier is so flashy and probably seemed quite feminine to Daryan, yet at the same time is a very dedicated and hardworking man, seeing that probably helped Daryan realise that he can also exist outside the binary he had set himself? Like, he realised that if he WAS into men, it wouldn't emasculate him.

I hc that Daryan and Klavier had a very slow burn thing that led to a late night, *something* induced (alcohol, drugs, stress, or fatigue), kiss after a LONG few months, maybe a year of tension. I don't think they have or ever will actually sleep together, Daryan still wouldn't be able to handle that, but they definitely feel something towards each other. Maybe that contributes to why Daryan hated Apollo right from the start, maybe he was jealous? jealous of both Klavier's fondness towards apollo, but also because (trans Apollo hc) Apollo is so secure in himself and his identity, that Daryan envied him for that too.

headcanons aside, I do like seeing them together as a couple in fanart and fics, I just don't think they would ever work in a long term, genuine relationship in the same way that we see with wrightworth and klapollo

inspired by the poster in the top left. call me crazy, but i'm 99% certain that it's of Klavier. you can see his hair if you reaaaalllyy zoom in, and squint, maybe. anyway i put more effort into this than I did with my last one, i'm very new to digital art and i'm still trying to figure it out. always been a traditional art kinda gal, but digital just makes my life easier atm

rrrreeeallly want to write an awful behind the scenes fic about the gavinners. i want daryan coked up, i want klavier having a breakdown, i want band members fucking up, I want to see them act perfectly on stage and then backstage is a mess, I want to see them fight, I want 'all your favourite people are bad people', I want klavier being a diva to be 'klavier is toxic and controlling'. I want to tear them apart and watch them break down and that's it. no happy ending.

ages ago i got that aa4 4koma anthology that never got translated to english...well, there was someone doing translations of them a while ago, but they didn't finish? i don't think? 'cause ive never seen these DARYAN COMICS translated before!!!!
