"Junou, my dear! It would be the best not to go out today. I've heard strange rumours about how people have transformed and won't have mercy on you...", my master barged into my room, rushed to me and grabbed my shoulders.
"Hmm, master?", I looked up into his face, seeing his frantic face. His breathing uneven and a look of worry in his face. I smiled at him reassuringly. "I heard about it too! Citizens of the town are already in disguises and probably will ask for sweets beginning from today! There's this fest and I've prepared my own costume as well, there's no need to worry."
"Well, I didn't know about that part...", he sighed. He seemed to have calmed down and let go of me. Before heading back to his activities, he gave me one more glance. "Are you going to bake me some cookies when you come back?"
I gave him an honest smile. "Definitely, master!" He left my room after making sure nothing was out of place.

I looked into the mirror to check myself. I wore my own costume, a cute princess dress I ripped up and put fake blood on. On my head was a tiara and in my eyes were smaller green lenses, making the red of my eyes pop out. Below my left eye I painted three black stars and blood dripped out of my right eye and mouth. On my neck was a chain. I hoped, I looked terrifying and original enough! Nodding, I walked out of my room and bid goodbye to my master before leaving our home.

While slowly approaching Dunbarton, I saw fog surrounding it. "Wow, people must be really hyped up about halloween.", I thought to myself. After entering, I couldn't even see right in front of me! The fog seemed so thick, it nearly felt like an invisible wall. Walking deeper into town, I arrived at the town square and could make out some silhouettes. Remembering that I ran out of sugar for master's cookies, I headed straight to Glenis. I slowly approached her and when I actually got to see her, I shrieked back in surprise. Her costume was amazing! Even though she had her everyday clothes, she wore something like a red beast mask with black huge eyes and yellow irises. Her hands were claws and it seemed like fresh, sticky blood flowed out of her mouth.
"Wow, Glenis! You really shocked me!! I thought, for a moment, that you were some kind of monstrous beast, ready to devour me!", I said while glancing around her stand. "Do you still have some sugar? I really need some, you know, my master has a really sweet tooth...", I quickly looked to my left and my eyes widened. Glenis had her mouth opened wide and before i could react, her fangs sank deep into my left forearm leaving my blood dripping on the ground.
While freaking out, I grabbed the first thing which came into my sight, which turned out to be a big lump of cheese, and smashed it right on her head.
Terrified, I looked around and slowly saw more people gathering. Everyone had blood flow out of their mouth and even on their clothes, their faces were like the faces of monsters. My heart beat loudly and I ran out of town as fast as possible. I couldn't believe what I saw!
It was undescribable!!!
While taking a break outside town, I leaned my back on the outer wall. Catching my breath, I looked at the town entrance and hoped nobody followed me out there.
Everyone had better costumes than me and their blood was even better and ... Glenis. Glenis just seemed to simply hate my costume so much, that she bit me. I was just a little bit sorry about hitting her head with some cheese though.
I parted form the wall and hung my head in defeat. I slowly went back and couldn't even look into my master's face, for I had not been able to get some sugar. But he still noticed that something was wrong. He bandaged up my injured arm and after that he hugged me for the longest time.
