To answer this in a better post:
Okay. I’ve been wanting to make a post about this shit going on for ages, because so much hate is in the tags. I’m not yelling at you, because you didn’t come in here guns a blazin’. Thanks. But I’m going to address some things that I hope get around.
1. Most of the SebaCiel fandom does not ship Ciel at his canon age (which is like 13.5). We ship him either in the canonverse as older, or there are such things as AU’s where they are both in high school, yadda yadda.
2. Most of the people who ship Sebaciel are Ciel’s age, NOT Sebastian’s (appeared) age. It’s like the same thing as all of the teens on here being like “OMFG BENDYDOODLE CNOMBERBUTCH”. A lot of people are just into Sebastian and just use Ciel as a, idk, like a proxy.
3. I don’t know if you are in the regular black butler fandom, but you should know that Sebastian is a demon, and thus, hella old. He can control his form, and so he could totally either A) appear as Ciel’s age and then people would ship them “right” or B) idk do demony shit and age up Ciel, with the same consequences. People ship him all the time with Mey-Rin, even though that would technically be pedophillia also, because he is thousands of times older than her. It’s like “The Doctor” and “Rose” out of Doctor Who. It would actually be classified as pedophillia because hey, The Doctor is about… 19X Rose’s age, but whatever floats your heterosexual boat man. Most people are gonna say “omFG NO ROSE IS SO MATURE SHE CAN MAKE HER OWN DECISIONS!!!!” And that brings me to my next point.
4. Ciel, even at canon age, has the mind and experience of an adult. He is very mature, and hates being referred to as a child. He is cold and manipulative. If anything, Ciel would be the one to initiate any kind of relationship, because Sebastian is completely under his control. I do not consider him a child. At the time point, Ciel could even get married and it would be totally legal. Elizabeth, his fiancée, would and could be a mother at this point and it would be considered normal.
5. People who ship SebaCiel do not DO NOT SUPPORT ANY KIND OF REAL LIFE PEDOPHILLIA . For some reason this is very hard to understand. People who ship SebaCiel ship it with Ciel in a safe and happy environment. I don’t know why I would have to explain this to anyone. Literally ridiculous that I have to explain this to bullies on the Internet.
6. It’s ridiculous that we get hate over this. Really? What is so bad about your life that you have to take it out on a mostly young, impressionable, kind fanbase? You are nothing but bullies. I recommend getting the X-kit and black listing anything that you do not want to see. It’s very affordable at about $1.99 and you won’t have to see anything you don’t like. Or even, you know, just not go on the tags and searching out things that “offend” you.
7. They are a fictional couple. Fake. Not real. Imaginary. 2-D. Just characters. Get the fuck over yourself. There is no reason for this kind of hate. Adam out.
