Alright, canon ships time. What's the funniest date Ramone/Flo, Sally/Lightning, and Mater/Holley have ever had? Worst one? Best one?

Ramone/Flo

Their first date.

Ramone had the hardest time deciding what to paint himself for the occasion. Unfortunately, that resulted in an exploding airbrush and a rainbow of splotchy colors all over, just 10 minutes before he was set to pick Flo up.

SPOILER ALERT! Flo actually loved the paint job because he looked like a real artist and real artists make mistakes (though it actually looked more abstract and low-key amazing).

They had a great time in the end! Ramone managed not to spill anything else on the entire date and Flo rewarded him with a lil’ kiss at the end.

Sally/Lightning

They actually consider their drive to the Wheel Well their first date these days, but their first “official” date was a few weeks after the tiebreaker race.

Let’s just say, Mater interrupting their first kiss in Cars 1 and reunion date in Cars 2 are not the first occasions he did so.

Their first date was at the drive-in, which was reopened when waves of customers started driving into town since Lightning put it on the map.

Mater was parked behind them. The entire time. Enough said.

Let’s just say lots of talking, crying, singing, and other…sounds were part of the evening, none of which came from Lightning or Sally.

And sadly, in Lightning’s opinion, there was a very serious lack of kissing…

Mater/Holley

You may not believe it, but Holley is as chaotic as Mater when she finally lets loose.

They met up in NYC for a few days, as a sort of “halfway point” between their respective homes.

They went to a Broadway showing of Hamilton, a show Holley always wanted to see.

Of you thought Mater’s lack of theater etiquette was bad during Lightning and Sally’s first date, well, turns out a Broadway show is 10x that…

The lesson learned from that experience was to never let Mater into a theater of any kind again.

Boy sings too much.

But also, never let Holley into a theater with Mater again, bc she invariably laughs at every botched up song the tow truck sings.

The Broadway cast was not nearly as amused.

Unfortunately, Mater will not be asked to participate in any productions.

Holley Shiftwell, how long did it take you to learn how to fly?

Oh gosh, there were asks in my box for the past 3 months? Sorry for the (ridiculously) delayed response, friendo! Thanks for the questions! :)

I’d say it took Holley a solid year or more of training exercises to learn to use her flight gear.

CHROME isn’t one to let their agents loose in fancy gear without excessive training, a) to avoid compromising missions and b) to avoid lawsuits lol.

As for Holley herself, she was initially hesitant to learn to fly. She was very much content on the ground with diagnostics, however, with some convincing, she was persuaded to be the test monkey for the good of the agency.

With a lot of oopsies and swear words, she finally got the hang of it, and can say now she’s more than pleased CHROME persuaded her to give flying a shot. She loved getting a birds-eye view of everything.

Better yet, she’s now the instructor for agents tasked with learning to use flight gear.

I'm thinking about what the WGP gang would do on TikTok. I bet they will most likely make content about racing. Though I picture Lightning, Raoul, Miguel, and maybe Jeff would do a collaboration together and gain millions of likes. I'm also picturing some mukbangs and food reviews, Carla would do a "get ready with me" video and they would also make mini vlogs where they would make appearances on each other's videos 😂 or they could do a trend (whether it's funny, stupid or wholesome)

Francesco: Why do I feel like he’d be the one to post “get ready with me” videos instead of Carla? 😂

Lewis: I feel like he’d do a lot of dance videos just for funsies; maybe a few “day in the life of me” vids as well, but instead of on the track, it’s just the random stuff he does during the week, like going to the grocery store

Jeff: He doesn’t do a lot with it, but he’ll do some fun dance trends with his kids since they’re on TikTok and always know what’s hot; he’ll also post little tribute videos for his fallen friends and family

I have been seeing some WGP racers spies AU and honestly, I they're one of my favourite AUs. Can you make a headcanon on what kind of secret agent partners they would be? Kinda like agents J and K where they're partners (I'm kinda inspired after watching Men in Black 😂)

Hi there!! Believe it or not, that AU kinda started here with some asks from y’all a few years ago!! :)

It first started with my Jeff is a Spy AU! It is one of my favorites and you can find a lot on him under that linked hashtag!

As for the rest of the WGP racers, I sort of answered this ask here a little while ago on what type of agents they would be, but as for what kind of partners, here’s what I am thinking:

Lightning tends to be a bit too independent on missions, and thus, isn’t the best partner bc he wants to do everything himself. Being in the cybersecurity branch of the CIA, this can sometimes work out in his favor. The less people involved, the better.

Francesco is somewhat better than Lightning in the matter of accepting help, but sometimes, he can get a little cocky on missions. As of yet, it hasn’t cost him a mission, but his partners wish he’d be a little more open to working together at times.

Jeff, aka “0024” (linked in case you want to read the AU fic I wrote about him ;P) is Rod Redline’s partner at the CIA. They are the ultimate dynamic duo and neither tries to one-up the other. They are the epitome of partners in crime and are two of the best spies the CIA has in their system.

Lewis is a great partner! He’s collaborated with Finn, Holley, and Nigel in prior years at CHROME, and even Jeff and Rod for the Allinol mission! He’s known for being the stealth of his partnerships, so while his partner does the talky-talky, he does the stealy-stealy. It hasn’t failed them yet.

Nigel is also a great partner! As a member of CHROME, he is more of a diagnostics agent like Holley than a field agent like Finn, but he’s been on field missions a time or two and never fails to be a solid partner. In fact, he’s probably a little more clingy than most spy partners should be.

Rip has never had a partner in crime he didn’t like and vice versa. He’d never let down his teammates.

Carla can be a little independent sometimes and hates asking for help, but in the field, she sucks down her pride and tries her best to work with others in a fair way. She can hardly afford mistakes in this line of work.

Shu is much like Lewis in his stealth abilities. Most of the time, if there’s information needed, his partner will do all the talking while Shu does the info-taking. No one is ever the wiser.

Miguel is a chatterbox, and thus, talks a blue streak in his partner’s radio, even when they’re in the midst of a high-stakes mission. Sometimes, it’s a great stress reliever for his partner; other times, they wish he’d shut up, though they’d never tell him that.

Raoul is the ultimate chameleon; he can be whatever his partner in crime needs him to be. If that’s a distraction, he’ll be the best distraction you’ve ever seen. If he needs to be a stealthy boy, no one will ever know he’s there. He’s kind of the best of both worlds.

Max is the calm voice of direction while his partner does the field work. He makes sure everyone gets in and gets out with what they need for the mission. His partners are always thankful for his calm voice when things get hairy.

Ooh, fun question! I definitely think you’re right about fashion. For reference, here are my ideas for what humanized WGP racers would look like. While I feel like their fashion would mostly match those characterizations, I’ll expound a bit more. :)

Lightning:

I feel like he’d wear a lot of red. 😂

Think red t-shirts, flannel, sweatshirts, button-downs, and leather jackets (like the one found in the humanized post linked above), almost always paired with a plethora of Levi’s in varying washes and some white Nikes or Adidas with red logos.

I think he’d also have a TON of Rusteze/Dinoco branded apparel, bc, ya know, “represent” and all.

He also has a couple of suits for banquets and other special occasions; one is navy blue bc Sally insisted it made his eyes pop and the other one is, you guessed it, red!

Francesco:

He almost always lives in a crisp white shirt buttoned halfway with black slacks and casual loafers, usually courtesy of Prada or Armani.

Sunglasses are a must as well. He is a near perfect image of his late-father. Mama B can attest.

On occasion, though, he’ll lounge at home in t-shirts and shorts bc homeboy needs a few days of comfy clothes sometimes.

Lewis:

He can be found in polo shirts and jeans most of the time. He basically has one of every color. The only thing that really changes day-to-day are his shoes.

Little known fact: Lewis loves shoes.

He has one of everything tbh. Athletic shoes, dress shoes, sandals, you name it. Bro inevitably has at least one of each style per brand.

Just call him Cinderella. Jeff most definitely does.

Jeff:

He doesn’t really have one specific fashion staple. He’s a “whatever is comfortable for what I’m going to do today” kind of guy.

Most of the time, this means t-shirts, chinos, jeans, sweatpants, shorts, tennis shoes, etc., however, like McQueen, he does have some nicer items for formal events.

He may be a casual fella, but he does have enough sense not to wear certain items to certain events. He’s not blind and certainly no slob. Besides, he’s married to a supermodel. She wouldn’t have paid him a second glance if he didn’t clean up well.

He does wear his aviators everywhere, tho.

Max:

Literally could not care any less about fashion. Clothes are clothes.

His wardrobe consists of long sleeve t-shirts, cargo pants, and dusty work boots or athletic shoes.

He has exactly one suit courtesy of his sister. If it weren’t for her, he’d definitely show up to formal events in, you guessed it, a long sleeve t-shirt and cargo pants.

Miguel:

He is a FASHIONISTA all the way. Blame it on his 4 sisters.

Has a new outfit for every day pretty much. You name the style, he has it. What material? Silk? Linen? Cotton? Cashmere? Sure thing! Which brand? Gucci? Ralph Lauren? Balenciaga? Our mans has it all.

His most favorite piece of clothing is a silk v-neck long sleeve shirt, colored to look like his race car paint scheme from the WGP. It has never failed to impress (and score him dates). He has his sponsor to thank for that one.

Boy has no taste. None. He’s worse than Max.

Orange tank top with neon yellow sweat pants and bright red shoes? Why not?! Brown sweater with purple overalls and flip flops? Let’s do it!

She’s such an anti-shopper that she’s the furthest thing from the a-typical woman who loves clothes.

She don’t got time for that.

Basically, she orders stuff online via those “tailored to you” sites that pick out your wardrobe for you.

So she has a lot of jackets with pockets, dresses (also with pockets), comfy pants, and basic t-shirts to layer beneath each of those. She usually pairs all of it with sneakers or ballet flats.

She has sponsor apparel and stuff from over the years as well. Most of that was free, thankfully.

It’s all pretty basic, but she likes it. The best part is, she didn’t have to go out to shop for any of it!

Francesco: American pizza; a disgrace to carmanity

Lewis: Cannot STAND candy corn. Yeet it off the face of the earth.

Jeff: Likes good southern cooking as much as the next guy, but he will choke if he so much as looks at fried okra

Nigel: Had a bad experience with caramel and the flu once; simply will not ever have it again, end of discussion

Miguel: Is honestly such a foodie that he really doesn’t have a specific food he won’t tolerate

Raoul: Cake. It feels too much like eating a car wash sponge with frosting 🤢

Max: Pickles are too sour for his taste; he’ll eat them if he’s being polite and they’re set in front of him, but he’d never order them on his own accord
