((Long Time No See))
((Hi everyone, mun speaking. I know it's been a while, but once I explain I hope at least a few of you can forgive me. I took a very long somewhat announced hiatus because of a traumatic event in my life and I had to take care of and stabalize myself first. Long story short and without a lot of detail, I was attacked brutally by someone I knew very well and loved. This resulted in a nasty case of PTSD for which I have been in therapy for about a year and three months. I am almost two years out from the event itself and am doing a lot better. My muse went silent for a long time, Kari just disappeared. I eventually found her crying in a small corner of my mind and I think I have figured out what this did to her too. I think we are both ready to write again, so if any of you still would like to, I would love to write with you again. Thank you. 💙💙💙))
Lost and Found
Has anyone ever set off a nuclear bomb in your head? Not true radiation, but an event so devastating the trauma of it sends you hurtling into an abyss of your own existence? The universe no longer works by the same rules, everything is more dangerous than it ever was and the harder you run the further you end up from where you want to be, your healing. My name is Karillian. I had a life, a tragedy, a dead lover and family and then a new one. I remade a life worth living. But this event shattered my brain and my reality was quickly slipping through my fingers. And, and. And I disappeared. I told nothing and no one, obtained a black market personal vessel with no tags or registration and found an uninhabited place to rest. To those few I loved, I am sorry. But I have returned to face your judgement. I was lost, but now, I promise you, I am found.

She had finally escaped the medbay and made her way to their quarters. “My love? I have finally made it home to you.”
That voice- no, could it be? It sounded so sweet and familiar. The devil stood up from his bed, only his white greaves on with his boots, his red and black top half showing as he started walking out the door to see, his hand near his revolver that rested on his thigh, ready to fire on any of them damn ghostly apparitions that haunted him during her absence. “K-Karillian? Is that you? Is that really you?” He asked as he stared at her.
She smiled at him, concerned at his apparent nerves. “It is me, who else? I am so very sorry. I would have been home sooner but I had to be re-cleared health wise. Apparently there are dangerous viruses on the planets I was sent to. I am back now though.” She reached up and removed her helmet, letting her long red hair out of its confinement. “I kept my promise to you, I have come home.”
Upon seeing his lover’s true face, seeing the gorgeous red hair free from the helmet, his eyes glowed as he looked into hers. Raifer quickly let go of his revolver, letting it hang on his thigh and ran to the knight, bringing her into a tight and loving hug, tears streaming down his red face. “Oh, goddess death, it’s really you!” He said shakily while he held her close, his hand feeling her hair while the other wrapped around her back. “I’ve missed you so much! And what diseases? Are you alright? You are alright, aren’t you?” He asked frantically.
She nuzzled into his embrace, damn how she had missed these hugs. “I am perfectly well. I was given a full run of every scan the med staff could think up. I have been on base for a week, not allowed to contact anyone until it was all over.” Leaning away a bit she kissed his cheek. “Well, it may have been shorter had I not gotten frustrated a few times and destroyed some equipment and droids. They were keeping me away from you.”
Raifer held her closely still while he began purring, leaning his face into her neck as he started licking at her skin. “I’ve missed you so much, you’ve been gone so long and I thought you weren’t coming back, hope started to leave me, I saw visions and you, only for you to disappear… I was told it was my fault for you death.” The demon cried some as he squeezed her. “I love you so much!”
It was a good thing she was immortal, otherwise his grip might have brought her to the end he feared. “As I love you dearest, and I am home now, no need to be concerned.” She rubbed his horns to soothe him, she really had been away for too long. “I have some leave time now, and I intend to spend it by your side.”
“I’m just glad you’re back.” The demon lord nodded as he finally breathed before releasing her, taking a step back just to look at her some, she looked the same, all limbs attached, her head being the thing that mattered most. “It’s you. I know I’ve changed some, I know I look almost nothing like my old self. I hope you don’t mind, love.” Raifer told her.
She smiled and rolled her eyes a bit. "Darling it is you that I love, not your body. You are beautiful as always to me. A stranger did mention you had changed in appearance." She circled him, letting her gaze wander before coming to rest before him again. "Lovely as always, now stop not hugging me, I have missed you so." Flinging herself into his arms, she truly felt she was back where she needed to be.
