... Has it really been almost a year? Wow..

Sorry there haven't really been any updates! I've mainly been focusing on other stories and Ocs of mine as of late. (Not that I've forgotten about the Otakuverse, they're still my babies ^^ They're just kinda on the back burner for now)

I am working on writing up some more lore to post on here tho. Some universe lore, more character introductions, an original species, you know, the works. Anyways here's a lil silly doodle of Lily :3

So I’ve realized that I’ve never actually mentioned anything about the actual story.. (probably because it’s still a big WIP lol)

I guess I should fix that!

Basically it follows Lily (and friends) through her sophomore year. The year starts off pretty normal aside from some tension with one of her new classmates. 

However everything goes sideways when a fire burns down her house with her still trapped inside. Miraculously she survives, saved by a force (or perhaps.. a being?) unknown. 

However, after waking up in the hospital and making a surprisingly strong recovery, she discovers that she now has magical powers. Cue equal measures panic and excitement. So now not only does she have to navigate highschool and all its pitfalls, but learn to control her newfound powers. 

Thankfully her friends and a mysterious new mentor are here to help her out.

However, unbeknownst to them, a threat lurks in the shadows, and he’s none too happy with this turn of events.. 

A/N: I’m not writing/explaining this very well.. Mainly because I’m not sure how much to give away or what exactly is canon yet.

A little meta update thing

This is my first time running an ask blog or even doing anything like this, so apologies in advance if it’s all over the place. 

I think I’m gonna try an experiment around a little and just try out stuff for a bit. Just have fun with it. Who knows, maybe this wont even be an ask blog by the end of it. :P

I have a couple doodles and stuff I’m working on, so maybe I’ll post those whenever I finish them. Oooh what about some headcanons or introducing more of the cast? That could be cool.

So, I haven't really been getting asks, which honestly I get, it's not like this is connected to a fandom or anything. So in lieu of asks, or just while we're waiting, I'll start also posting doodles of the cast and the like, maybe some fun facts while we're at too. ^^

So a bit about the babs:

Lily is very cheerful and genuine. She’s the friend that’ll send you memes or cute animal pics to cheer you up if you’ve had a bad day. Also, she has something special about her, but I won’t tell you what just yet, you’ll just have to guess. ^-^ (hint, it’s not something normal people have) 

Red is pretty chill and friendly. He’s a gamer and a giant nerd, especially when it comes to Nintendo and Pokemon. His hoodie is a staple of his wardrobe and I’m pretty sure if he were to wear anything else he’d just spontaneously combust. :P

Now as for other characters, at the moment we have Silver, their doggo whom I’ve gifted the ability to talk, and Heather who got dragged into this via Lily and kinda doesn’t want to be here but she might answer a question or two.
