Hello bloggers and all! I've been a long time lurker following along all the zelda ask bloggers here. Which have all been awesome to observe, and after watching the recent Nintendo Direct, and the announcement of Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment. I finally worked up the courage to open up one of these ask blogs myself.

Looking forward to being a part of this community!

I aim to be faithful to the source material of Age of Imprisonment, Tears of the Kingdom and other related media, when it comes to portraying Raphica, and expanding on any lore regarding him, as well as the world at large.

I have my own headcanon that may or may not go against game canon, so out of character moments can potentially happen, and I ask you to respect that.

To my knowledge we haven't planned anything extravagant to do throughout this suddenly very eventful and festive month.

Not that we need a particular month of the year to do something. We always do a number of things together for all kinds of reasons, and they're all incredibly memorable and entertaining!

Well, at least for me anyway haha!

What's something in your opinion that Revali can do better than Link, that Link is also capable of doing? Basically if biology prevents Link from doing it, it can't be included.

Oh that's an easy one, hugging~

If Revali fully embraces the Rito's innate ability to give amazing hugs, then Revali will be able to give Link the kind of hugs that he can only dream of.

Of course Revali has to fully commit into master this art, even if it's something Rito's can naturally do because of all the feathers on our bodies.

Hmm... I'm beginning to wonder if my life is truly ancient history, or if Lenalia made extra murals detailing very specific things I did in the past.

That or Calamo had been telling people a lot of interesting stories in the past, it was somehow recorded in ancient song, and no one realized the context for thousands of years.

Raphica is it true you have a technique called Rending Backshots, that you've used on Vence, to where he struggled to walk afterwards?

I will neither confirm nor deny if such a unique technique of mine does exist, and if I used it on Vence.

More importantly, how exactly did you come across such information? Saying my life is ancient history, would be a huge understatement.

Hey Raphica it's that time of the year of the again. In other words, that time of the year where you and Vence do many unspeakable things with one another behind closed doors!

What in the world? My word, the inhabitants of the present do have some very strange traditions.

Why I would need a single day of the year to spend time with my friend Vence, when I can do that during any day of the week, month of year?

As for unspeakable things behind close doors, not sure how sharing a hammock would be regarded as forbidden knowledge.

Unless of course your talking about us ******* ***** where I use my arm to *** *** **** before sending him to ***** ****.

But I'm sure I'm just overthinking things~

Do you fear Rito traditions will slowly fizzle out over the many years?

I'm not fearful of Rito traditions slowly being adjusted and altered over time, as I was never one to follow tradition in my time.

I always embraced change, and actively went against doing things by the book, in favour of doing things in whatever unorthodoxed manner came to my head. Despite being the Rito Elder, and Sage, I was quite the rebel haha!

I'd like the Rito people in the present to embrace all the changes that can potentially happen to them. It's good to honour history, and preserve it, but one should never be consumed by it to where they reject, or are afraid of any kind of change. If I didn't go against the norm, there wouldn't be a Great Eagle Bow.

I'd love for my people to grow, not stay stagnant for hundreds of years, so I for one I'm totally okay with ancient traditions getting with the times.

Do you often wonder why you were born the way you were? I can't imagine being born as a force of nature to be normal.

Many times, I've wondered why I was born the way I was.

Why was I born so different from other Rito's? Why was I granted such extraordinary abilities at birth? What goddess above decided that a Rito such as myself needed to exist? Was I meant to be for the Rito, what Rauru was to Hyrule?

I've had many questions pop up in my mind, and I've had many thoughts about it to. It certainly wasn't easy, and it was far from a normal growing up experience, despite my best efforts to fit in.

But over time I just came to accept it for what it was, and focus on myself. The supernatural powers I was born with don't define me, who am I as an individual does.

I've come accept I'll always be seen as different, and my descendants are likely to experience this as well. But the important thing is I was wholeheartedly accepted in my community, and trusted to lead my people to a better future. That alone was enough for me.

Has there ever been a situation where you ran out of arrows, and because of that things went from bad to worse?

Fortunately I've never ran into that problem, due to me being able to create solid arrows, through the use of my power over wind.

While I do use ordinary arrows like any other Rito, in a similar manner to how Zelda can create solid blades of light through the use of her light powers, I can create solid arrows of wind through the use of my wind powers.

In a sense, I guess you could say I have unlimited arrows, because on the of chance I do run out of them, I can make more literally out of thin air.

If a situation went from bad to worse, it would be for my enemies, for letting their guard down during such a moment!

Is there anything design wise you would change about Rito village like adding few things or removing things?

Any changes I would have liked to make to Rito Village, be that adding something, or removing something else entirely, I had already done in my time.

I ended up establishing Rito Village from the grand up, after my people's previous home was destroyed beyond repair. All the changes I could have possibly wanted to make, was implemented throughout my time leading, and fighting for my new home.

In the present, looking how my home has flourished over the years, I wouldn't change a thing about it. Besides, I'm confident over time, more changes will inevitably happen to Rito Village, and I'm all for them!

If a warrior was faced with a truth they couldn't deny, having spent their whole life thinking this truth would never be a reality, should I leave them to figure things out for themselves, or cuddle them to make them feel batter?

Well in these cases it's important to ensure the individual warrior in question comes to acknowledge these truths, rather than continue to deny them.

If you are to be there for them, you should be helping them getting there thoughts settled, without trying to convince them that everything they witnessed or experienced isn't true. Cuddling them wouldn't be the wisest thing to do, otherwise should this situation happen again, it is likely they may not be able to cope, and handle things much worse the second time round.

Having said that, it would best to leave them alone to figure things out in some capacity. Personal growth is important, and sometimes leaving someone alone to come to terms with what happened, may be the best call. Just make sure they don't do something reckless.

Do you think your Great Eagle Bow is the greatest bow to ever be made?

Absolutely not! Make no mistake, I'm incredibly proud of my Great Eagle Bow, everything it could do, how effective it was, and the level of craftsmanship needed to make it. In addition to the fact that many Rito's, and in the present day, even a Hylian, would come to rely on my bow.

However I'm also aware there are superior bows out there. The most powerful of Lynel's use bows that are vastly more capable than the Great Eagle Bow, and I've even seen Link use a bow, that shot incredibly powerful arrows of light.

The Great Eagle Bow is undoubtedly a work of art, and more capable than most bows out there. But it is in no way the greatest bow to ever be made, and that's fine! It can do what it needs to do, and that's enough for me!

why is revalis entire life completely ruined :[

Revali's life is far from being completely ruined. Being on the receiving end of a big loss isn't the end of world. Well... not in this case at least.

He's simply dealing with what happened to him, and not dealing with it in the best way, while also deciding to do things, that many would regard as being quite hasty, and extreme, as a means to cope with what happened.

If his life does end up becoming "ruined" as you say, that would be because of the consequences of his many actions over an extended period of time. As of now, no such outcome has yet to happen, nor is Revali in a position where one could consider his life to be destroyed beyond repair.

So Vah Medoh is kind of pilotless now. Revali sort of abandoned it, after coming back to Rito Village as if he got his ass kicked. Maybe you can pilot it, or inform Teba to, since you know, it needs a pilot.

Piloting Vah Medoh is something I'd only do, if I know for certain, without a doubt, that there are no other options available, due to whatever circumstances happen to have deprived Medoh of its pilot.

Teba has temporarily been designated as Vah Medoh's pilot, until Revali decides to return to take his piloting duties again. So you can be at ease, the Divine Beast does have a pilot to look after it, and hasn't been left to it's own devices.

"As if he got his ass kicked," that's err, quite the avid description you have there.

Not sure if you've heard, but Revali seems to have faced something, and the result was that he was left pretty badly beaten. Now he's breaking up with Link because of it, and appears to be planning to run away from everyone. Why would a loss cause Revali to do all that?

Yes I'm very much aware of Revali's sudden drastic change in behaviour, due to mysterious revelations he may have faced.

As well as all the troublesome things he's been doing as a direct result of what he faced, leaving him in the state he's in.

As for why a loss could do such a thing. Imagine someone who spent there whole life believing something, while denying the opposite could possibly happen, because of their mindset, clear overconfidence, and arrogance. Now imagine if that same individual was forced to acknowledged a truth that shattered their delusions.

As you can imagine, coming to terms with such a thing, would be anything but simple for them, and likely cause them to act in irrational ways.

Raphica Revali seems to be acting out it. One moment he was fine, next moment he looked like he faced an something that was his better, and it's like he's completely bewildered now, as if he witnessed something that he couldn't believe. Revali claims it was a Lynel, but it's clear he was definitely up against someone who was very skilled with the bow, but that doesn't make any sense. Sure if Link fought him, he'd win, but they had no such battle, otherwise everyone would have known about it, and while Teba is a better archer than Revali, I doubt he'd be able to leave Revali in the state he's in, without being in a similar state himself. There's no records of a Rito who's that skilled, and yet Revali was definitely beaten someone, who outclassed him. But who could that be? The important thing Revali's doing some very unbelievable things. He broke up with Link out of nowhere, vacated himself from Vah Medoh and left it in the care of Teba, and is planning to fly away to the deepest parts of the Hebra region alone, while mumbling strange things in a daze. What should we do in this situation?

Hmmm... so allow me to summarise the sequence of events based on what you told me.

Revali would come face to face with something or someone that was skilled with a bow, who nobody is aware of, that evidently bested him, and upon returning to Rito Village, he had a look of someone in disbelief.

Following that, instead of reflecting on the loss, he chose to break up with Link, someone he's supposed to be in a close relationship with. Severed his connection to Vah Medoh, and gave the responsibility to my grandchild Teba. And is planning to fly away to the deepest parts of the Hebra region, because he's unable to bare the thought of others seeing him in such a state, and showing others he's not infallible or unbeatable.

Is that correct?

In this situation it would better to leave him to his own devices. The best thing for him now, is for him to come to terms with what he experienced, regardless of how painful it may be for him.

One can only avoid reality for so long. He can either chose to acknowledge what happened, and adjust, or continue to deny it, in which he'll only continue destroying himself from within.

In any case, I believe the one who bested Revali, is likely the one who he'll seek out to talk to, when his minds no longer completely clouded by his dark insecurities. So I'd say to give him time, to figure things out for himself.

Hello again Zhenn, and hope you've been fairing well these days.

Unfortunately my friend, it would appear that every aspect of me, such as my white plumage, my bloodline, and my inherited power, would on to endure multiple generations. Everything except for my pompadour. Haha!

It would seem over time, it kind of became a recessive gene that diminished over time. But it's nothing to be upset over, I love my descendants regardless if they inherited my hair or not.

Besides from what I've seen and heard, Teba is regarded as being incredibly attractive, so it's not like my descendants of today need my hairdo!
