“--I understand Victor. I just wanted it made clear--”
“I KNOW WHAT YOU MEANT!” Victor snapped at the professor sitting behind a desk. He looked troubled but calm as the taller man dug his claws into the desk, leaning in close, snarling.
“Victor please--I only want good things for you--” Xavier tried to explain again.
“Don’t lie to me! I’m a fucking monster! And that runt is too!”
“Victor. He is not a monster. And neither are you. Now please, sit back down.”
“I ain’t gonna sit! And I ain’t gonna listen to Lehnsherr anymore!” Victor nearly took off chunks of the desk before the door of the office opened, and he caught a whiff of a familiar scent.
“Charlie...everything ok in here?” The gruff voice asked. Victor could feel his younger brother’s eyes glaring at him.
“Quite alright Logan. You remember how Erik and I have formed a small alliance for the moment?” Xavier spoke softly. Logan snorted.
“It ain’t gonna work Chuck. Creed’s gonna take off before we join forces.”
“Like you took off from the team runt?” Victor snarled, turning around facing Logan. He watched him, noting how he hadn’t changed from their last fight to the death.
“Both of you will work together. There are young ones here who you will help and team up with. Victor, like the rest of the Brotherhood, I offer you a home here at the school, we also could use more more teachers. Perhaps you could be our new gym coach?” Before Victor could answer the door opened again and Ororo poked her head in.
“Hey Logan--Oh...Is Creed joining the school?”
“Yes he is. Would you show him to his room you two?” Xavier smiled, cutting Victor short before he could respond.
“Hold on a second Xavier! I ain’t playing baby sitter with these kids!”
“Nonsense, I’m not asking that of you. Off you go.” Before he could complain he found his brain getting fuzzy and his eyes went heavy as he got tired. The next thing he knew he was standing outside the door with the beautiful mutant and his bastard of a brother.
“Move it, bub.” Logan snapped, walking off, heading to the empty rooms up the stairs. Victor turned about to head out the front door when Ororo smiled and blocked his path. He snarled and reluctantly went up the staircase, looking around at the students who ran around.
