Last Days Breathing || CLOSED
David sipped his drink thinking about the past when he could hear people outside his house. They were poking their noses toward the backyard and he closed his eyes. Listening before deciding there was probably four of them. He heard a light knock on his front door, he sighed and got up putting the bottle down and making his way toward the living room. He opened the door a bit, making sure the top lock was still secure.
“Can I help you?” He rose a brow, eyeing the obvious X-Men suits.
“Sorry to interrupt you, but we were concerned for a fellow mutant.” Storm spoke softly, eyeing him in his edgy state.
“Sorry, you’re mistaken. There’s no mutant here.” He tried closing the door and she blocked it.
“There is. We were sent by the professor. A signal was sent. Is there anyone home with you? A wife? A child?” She frowned. He looked at her a moment, a bit bitter at her words.
“No. Just me. And I’m not a mutant.” He tried to close the door again and this time Rogue blocked it.
“You don’t have to be afraid of it. We all are. We want to help.”
“Say you could help me. Would you be ok with putting a bullet through my brain and then cutting my head off? Cause that’s the only way you’re gonna help me at this point ladies.” He started to close the door again.
