Ok I wanna share my story about this. Get the popcorn and mustard dipping sauce.

A few years ago when I was still in college I was stressing over a project and couldn’t figure something out in Adobe Flash and the class was that night (i can’t remember if it was due that night or not). So I figured I’d ask my friend who knew more about the subject and left to go to Starbucks to use a gift card I had before heading to school. I went in wearing a Supernatural shirt and I had my purse with all my pins on it with all my fandoms. I asked for a Venti Double Chocolately Chip Frapp and the worker told me it would be ready in a few. She didn’t ask my name or tell me my total. I went to pay and she said it’s okay. I asked if she was sure and she said yeah it was fine. I was confused as to why she was giving me a drink for free but I waited for it. When she brought my drink to me she said “I like your shoelaces” and I said thanks at first. Then I paused and realized that I was in flip flops. I replied “thanks I stole them from the president” when I processed what was happening and nearly skipped out of there. The cup had “Fandom” and “Seriously ALL THE FANDOMS” written on it. I still have that cup to this day.

To the barista who did that to me: you are an amazing person. You really made my stressful day so much better after that. Thank you so much.

I've been thinking about Daphne and like, imagine just living your life minding your own business then suddenly this man appears, and he can't stop staring and looking longingly at your husband. Said husband then leaves with said man and you never see him again

Yeah, it’s kinda heartbreaking! But story-wise Daphne is just the interim character who looks after the hero until he’s ready to go to his real love interest.

She’s Calypso to Cas’ Odysseus Journey:

Calypso lived on the island Ogygia where Odysseus was washed ashore. Calypso fell in love with him, and offered him eternal life to stay with her (but he had a true love already, his wife, Penelope). They were lovers, though against his will. After seven years (waves at the fact that this is season 7) Hermes was sent to Calypso to order her to set him free (does Bobby kinda fit here? :p). 

So she eventually helped him make a small boat to get off the island and therefore she basically takes care of him in his time of need until he can go back to his true love…

*A+ casting by the way* for Cas’ substitute true love…

Daphne herself is a minor figure associated with water, which makes sense as she found Emmanuel naked and by the water.

Um… I’m also just going to drop in here that The Odyssey is the story of his journey and and it takes 10 years to journey home to his true love after the Trojan War (tries not mention how I already have strong speculative headcanons of 14x01 bringing textual Destiel as it’s their 10 year anniversary).
