Real person fiction has always bothered me. A lot of the time that community says they’re based on consent, yet when it comes to rpf of minors, it gets thrown out the window.
There was actually a time a pro-rpf person found my anti-rpf take in the comments of an anti-rpf post on TikTok.
Oh, boy… They took my opinion has a personal attack. I said I don’t like rpf because it blurs the line between what’s ok and what isn’t and involves real people. I mentioned I had found a rpf fan-fiction on AO3 once that was sexual and involved an actual child actor. I never read it but I said that should count as CSEM because a real child was written about in a sexual manner. This pro-rpf person started tearing into me, getting extremely aggressive. “It’s still fiction! It’s ok, no one was harmed!” And like…? Do people not understand that you can go to jail for writing about an actual child sexually? Sure, it still falls under fan-fiction because the scenario is fake, but that kid isn’t—the subject of your writing who may end up finding such a disgusting thing about themself on AO3 when they’re older.
This happened a few months ago, like in May I think. I know it happened close to my birthday.
People who defend this shit with their life unsettle me. Like, why are you defending someone who wants to publish their sexual fantasies about a real child on the internet???
I really don't understand how these types of people don't see the issue with this, like it's one thing to do this to a fictional kid but a real one??? In what universe is that ever okay??
