The door slid shut behind Tomiko as soon as she stepped in, and she joined Evie on the bed, sitting beside her. “To be fair, I had a lot of time while we were figuring all the Amphoreus stuff out. It was mostly cooking and redecorating.” A pause. “And a little bit of other stuff like watching anime and some ‘self maintenance.’”

While she talked, Evie turned to slide her hand behind where Tomiko was sitting. Then leaned in a little closer to her. "Self maintenance huh. Is that what they call it now?" A little giggle. "Sounds like you've been using your time wisely, looks great in here."

“It’s one word for it, anyway.” A giggle left her lips as she leaned closer to Evie. “Anyway, it’s been a while since we had fun, and you sound like you could use it.” A hand went to Evie’s cheek, pulling her into a soft kiss.

"Well, not the room itself, but the furniture and stuff," she said. "Although they did let me paint it. Come on, I'll show you."

It didn't take long to get there, and as soon as the door slid open, she swept her hand over. Where previously it had been cramped and a bit messy, with her things everywhere, now the room seemed much more spacious. The plushies were mostly sitting on shelves along the walls, which were now dark pink and covered in posters.

"Wooow, pretty sweet lookin' digs." It was much more in line with how fancy the rest of the train was, but still had those personal Tomiko touches. "I see they even got new homes." She pointed to the plushies as she took a seat on the edge of the bed. "Now you've got yourself a nice place to tuck away and binge all those animes."

"Well, not the room itself, but the furniture and stuff," she said. "Although they did let me paint it. Come on, I'll show you."

It didn't take long to get there, and as soon as the door slid open, she swept her hand over. Where previously it had been cramped and a bit messy, with her things everywhere, now the room seemed much more spacious. The plushies were mostly sitting on shelves along the walls, which were now dark pink and covered in posters.

"Such an... interesting guy." Continuing to eat hers at a more reasonable pace, she nodded. "Just the thing to hit the spot. You're a miracle worker~ Feels like I can already forget how much I regret drinking."

"I wouldn't suggest relying on me to make you feel better every time you drink, but I can help out this time, at least." She smiled. "Come on, my room is probably more fun to hang out in than the kitchen. I've even remodeled a little since you last boarded the Express."

"Or I can use it as an excuse to come visit~" A wink as she took a bite. So basic, but the ingredients really made it taste just that much better. "Mmm, you're lucky Caelus. You get to have Tomiko's food basically everyday."

Caelus took his and basically inhaled it, washing it down with the rest of the orange juice.

"I need to go do my dailies. Thanks for the snack." And he was gone.

Tomiko shook her head. "Are you feeling any better, Evie?"

"Nice, they sure do have some of the best fruit I've ever tried. Gotta be good in a jam too." After debating for a moment she pointed to a mostly purple colored one. "Can't go wrong with purple of course."

Tomiko laughed as she spread it over the bread and handed it over. "You want some, Caelus?"

"I'll take purple, too."

She was exactly zero percent surprised that Caelus followed Evie's lead and described the flavor by color.

"If you like it, I could give you some to take with you," she said. "I've got plenty. Food is... really cheap on Veloria, honestly."

"Who knows what they're actually giving you. Probably shouldn't be eating or drinking anything those weirdos offer." She snorted. "Hmmm, bet Himeko is a fun drunk and Yang is a chatty one. March is for sure a giggler. Dan Heng... do dragons get drunk?"

"I'll be okay. The Stellaron protects me." He patted his chest and turned back to his orange juice.

"Can't argue with that, I guess." Tomiko shook her head. "Pick your flavor. I got the berries for the jam last time we were in Veloria so they're all good."

“Yeah.” Caelus went back to the fridge, pulling out an entire twelve pack of bottles of water and putting it on the counter in front of her.

“Well, that’s one way to do it.” Tomiko laughed as she went to the bread box and pulled out some home made bread. “Simple carbs, infused with a little bit of Abundance power. If it can cure whatever sickness Himeko’s coffee causes, it can cure a hangover.” They were essentially the same thing. “With a little homemade jam, we’ll call it dessert.”

"Pretty sure I won't need that much, but thanks." She took a bottle and started drinking it while watching Tomiko. "I guess the effects of Himeo's coffee are basically like alcohol poisoning... only not as much fun going down though."

Looking over at Caelus she pondered a moment. "You ever been drinking Caelus? Hard to tell what it would do to you."

“Yes. Sparxie keeps getting me drinks when I go to the tavern.”

Tomiko looked surprised at that. “So what do they do?”

“Give me indigestion mostly.”

Tomiko paused thoughtfully after getting out a few different flavors of jam. “Knowing the Masked Fools, that’s probably on purpose.”

Caelus finally pulled an entire jug of orange juice out and took it with him to the counter.

“I’ve died a couple times,” he said before he opened the jug and started chugging.

“Anyway. I’ll get that hangover cure started. I was going to suggest orange juice to start but…”

Caelus paused, then held the jug out. “Want some?”

"Only a couple? Whatever is on the otherside must not want you there if they keep sending you back to living."

Evie shook her head and laughed. "All yours, I should probably try drinking some more water. Probably should have been doing that before the hangover, but I was too drunk to think of that."

"I'm fine." He was staring into one of the giant fridges.

"Okay..."

"Looks like someone's taking a break from shenanigans." Evie leaned against one of the empty counter spaces. He was such an unassuming guy, you'd never guess all the things he got up to. "Been a hot minute, how you doin' these days Caelus?"

Caelus finally pulled an entire jug of orange juice out and took it with him to the counter.

“I’ve died a couple times,” he said before he opened the jug and started chugging.

"Well if it's patented it's gotta be good." A tease in her voice as she leaned back in her chair. "Sounds like a good plan for the day. You can tell me all about the comics you've found here, maybe pass some recommendations."

"Well, patent-pending, anyway," she said with a laugh. Once they had finished she stood. "Come on, other than Pom-Pom and Shush we'll probably have the Express to ourself."

"I'm fine." He was staring into one of the giant fridges.

"The only out of your league is whatever you set it. Like I always say, you miss all the shots you don't take." A wink before she glanced around. "Didn't have any plans really other than shaking the hangover off. My bestie already went back home and I'm just trying to soak up the vibes before I gotta go back to reality."

Tilting her head back to Tomiko. "Did you want to retreat back to your mangas or would you like having my company around a little longer?"

She thought about that for a few moments, before finally saying, "If you don't mind, I want to hang around with you for a while. You can come on the Express and I'll make you my patented hangover cure."
