since we’re sharing our experiences, here it goes:

it was seeing her for the first time in my life on november 9th, 2023. spinning like a girl in a brand new dress with my friends. i will never ever forget the genuine and pure joy that i felt that night. the clock getting to zero and the intro starting to roll. taylor showing up in a brand new outfit for lover and that first set that I spent trying not to puke out of the excitement. it was hearing long live for the first time live. and the surprise songs that night; i will never forget how it felt. i miss you like it was the very first night taylor.

it was never beating the sorcery allegations ✨ 🛬 ✨!!!!!

it was queueing since 6 AM and the rain on november 10th. it was the show getting postponed for sunday.

it was restricted view on november 11th. i had the best time. it was travis being at the show for the first time as her boyfriend. it was getting the most amazing mashup: is it over now and out of the woods, celebrating the release of 1989 taylor’s version with her, and end game on the piano. it was THE VERY FIRST!! “karma is the guy on the chiefs”.

it was barricade on november 12th. queueing since 7 AM, in the heat, my face was red. it was running as fast as i could to get to the stage. it was grabbing the barricade with all my strength and never letting it go. it was seeing taylor Right In Front Of Me, closer than i ever could’ve expected or imagined or dreamed.

and then it was november 25th. it was jumping and dancing all night and having the most fun i had ever experienced in my life. it was safe and sound and untouchable. the way i had been praying over a fearless song. i was (and am) so grateful.

i will forever hold on to these memories

I don’t know why some people find it so difficult to accept the fact that Taylor Swift has the ability do both: lighthearted pop bangers and wistful, poetically complex ballads. And neither cancels the other out. You were mad that midnights was too poppy and then mad again when TTPD was too wordy and elaborate and now the cycle repeats with Showgirl. Meanwhile she’s been demonstrating an interest in both sides of this spectrum since her debut album. This is the person who wrote both Our Song and Tied Together With A Smile when she was in high school. God forbid an artist has range and is inspired to work within different genres/moods/approaches to songwriting at different points in her life.
