bbc sherlock?? never met her
I AM EMOTIONALLY SO DONE THIS EPISODE WAS SUCH A TRAINWRECK FUCK PUNCH ME IN THE FACE SHIT
This was a wild ride from start to finish
That’s it. That’s the show.
Odyssey and Sherlock
Has anyone ever noticed parallels between the epic and the series (which is quite epic in itself)?
For example, it is a narrated story by a third person, but later on Odyssey narrates the story himself and even tells us how other characters feel. (The theory about Sherlock being the narrator this series.)
Then there’s the account of Odyssey’s adventures. 1.The land of the Lotus Eaters? (The Black Lotus gang in TBB, and if I recall, Sherlock found the lotus in the person’s mouth) 2.Odyssey has an affair with a the witch Circe (Irene?) 3. Oh and apparently, Odyssey also goes to Hades? (Go to hell?)
These are the relevant ones I could remember.
And you know what else? All these adventures happen to Odyssey on his way back ‘home’. The Final Problem is predicted to be a Holmes family-centric episode, and Sherlock is apparently about find out some deep dark secrets about his family (‘home’). So maybe the whole series has been nothing but a mirror of the Odyssey, as it follows a man’s adventures on his way home, i.e. Everything that has happened in the series so far has only brought Sherlock closer to finding out the big secret about his family.
Also odyssey is supposed to be hella smart and witty. AND my favourite Four Winds make an appearance in the Odyssey too.
I am not super well-versed on the Odyssey so don’t expect this to be a very clear/accurate explanation. I read the abridged story like years ago, and I’m feeling very bored right now. Hence the post.
Edit: In my earlier post about the 4 winds, I said that they may represent the Holmes siblings. However if we drop the siblings part, and believe that Sherlock is Odyssey then the 4 winds make sense in this context also. Mycroft- the icy North wind, Eurus - the East wind, John - the gentle West wind, and Moriarty - the destructive South wind. I may be going mad with boredom here.

Okay, but since the writers are clearly screwing with everyone now, and so many fans were convinced Tom Hiddleston would be playing a third Holmes brother…
The ACTUAL BEST thing they could do is say they were taking John to meet Sherrinford up in the tower. When they get there, he sees Tom Hiddleston. But then it turns out Tom’s just the maintenance man or something.
You hear, “I am Sherrinford.” And Mary steps out.
Birdy-effin-Edwardsed, man.
If there's an East Wind.. What about the other 3 directions?
Guess what? Like Eurus is the East Wind, there are three others - Boreas, Zephyrus, & Notos. The four major ones. All 4 were siblings. Born to Eos and Astraeus, I believe.
Boreas- is the Greek god of the cold winds from the North. (Cold. Ice. Iceman. Mycroft?) From what I have read Boreas is powerful, and sounds kind of like the big brother here. But that could just be my own perception.
Zephyrus- is supposed to be the gentlest and blows from the West. Here’s the catch, Zephyrus is said to have fallen in love with a man. In some stories, he is also known to play an instrument. (Hint hint. East against West. Sister vs Brother. Eurus vs Sherlock ?)
Zephyrus and Boreas are mentioned most often in the stories. (Sherlock and Mycroft)
Notos - Comes from the South and is supposed to be a destroyer of crops. (Idk where I am going with this, but a 4th sibling???) Notos is also said to have burnt stuff down, and the fights between him and Boreas are supposed to be the deadliest. Notus’ sculpture is shown to pour water from a pitcher.
Yeah I don’t know. But that was fun. Feel free to expand on this.
There’s a lot of material on the Internet about the four winds. Feel free to check it out.
P.s. This is a developing and evolving post and I’ll keep adding stuff to it as I find it. Update: One more (conflicting) theory here

The Lying Detective THE END.
season 1: Mycroft is the most dangerous man you'll ever meet
season 2: oh no, actually it's Jim Moriarty
season 3: sorry, but for real it's Charles Augustus Magnussen
season 4: actually, scratch that, it's Culverton Smith
I need a Sherlock AU where Sherlock solves crimes with Mrs. Hudson instead of John.
Why are we not funding this?
I CANT BELIEVE I JUST HEARD SHERLOCK SAYING "ITS FUNNY 'CAUSE ITS TRUE" WITH MY OWN TWO EARS
